Applejacks parents

Okay, before you start reading I just wanna say this is kinda short but it's my first, so hope you like it!!!

Chapter 1

If you every ask applejack about her parents, she'll say they are 'on holiday'. The mane 6 never knew what this meant, until the day they went exploring in the Tanical Forest...

"Princess Celestia asked me to explore the Tanical Forest with you guys!" Twilight sparkle said as they packed their bags "and I think we'll have a LOT of fun!"

"I can't WAIT!" Rainbow dash answered, swooping around the room. When they had finished packing their bags, they left and soon they found themselves at the edge of the Tanical Forest. When apple jack saw it she gave a little gasp, but nopony Noticed. They entered the dark forest.

"I-I don't th-think this is a g-good idea twilight!" Fluttershy whispered "It looks just t-too d-d-dark!"

"Don't worry! I'll look after you!" Pinkie pie said, bouncing towards her. They journeyed on through the forest the whole day, and twilight mapped it out as they went along. Soon it was dark so they all set down tents and went to sleep. Suddenly, there were bumping sounds. They heard growls. They all came out of their tents, and decided to investigate. They followed the sounds until they reached a town. It was quiet and the bumping sounds seemed to get further away, but the mane six thought they should explore the town. It was dark and empty and looked like it had been abandoned.

Chapter 2

"What's this place doing out here?!" rarity exclaimed.

"I don't know, but I think we should check it out!" answered twilight. They checked every house but there was no furniture in any!

"Robbers must have stolen everything!" Rainbow dash said. They found one more house though, that was locked. Rainbow dash knocked the door down, and they went inside.

"I guess the robbers didn't get in here!" Said pinkie, looking at all the furniture that was in there. They all began to look around, except applejack, who stood in the doorway and didn't say anything. Suddenly they here a gasp, a crash and a thump. They all ran in to the living room to see fluttershy had fainted. They revived her and asked what had happened.

"The...the picture..." She said. They looked at the broken picture frame. It showed a little foal, with a yellow coat and dark pink hair. She was being held by an orange filly with blonde hair. That filly was standing next to a red filly, this time a boy, with dark yellow hair.

"Oh...My...God" rainbow dash said said "I-I-it's APPLE JACK!"

"Alright it's me!!" Apple jack said angrily "ah used to live here!"

"Really? What happened?" asked Rarity.

Chapter 3

"Well... One night, Big Macintosh, apple bloom and ah were sleeping when we heard growling and thumping noises. Mah mum and dad walked in and got us out of bed. We ran downstairs to see a big, black dog-like creature attacking the town! People were running everywhere! Mah dad told mah mum to protect us while he helped fend the creature off. We ran into the woods, and soon we heard the creature running after us! We ran and ran, but we couldn't go forever, the monster was too fast! Mah mum handed me apple bloom and pushed me and big macintosh down a hill. We rolled down quite quickly and pushed our way through the grass. When we reached the bottom we were I'm front of a large cave. We ran in and hid. Then we heard our mum scream and the monster ran off. The next day Granny Smith arrived. She was going to visit us but found out about the whole fiasco and came looking for us. She followed our tracks to this cave. When she found us hiding in the cave she told us our parents had died. We were devastated. She then took us in and looked after us from then on." Apple jack curled up into a ball and began to sob.

Chapter 4

"How come you never told us about this before?" Twilight said, giving her a hug.

"Ah just didn't want to think about all this again." Apple jack replied. Suddenly, they heard a large roar from outside. They walked out and saw a huge black dog-like beast!

"Quick! Everypony, RUN!" Applejack cried, and they ran, following applejack as she led them down a path. They ran until applejack jumped off the path and slid down a hill. They followed her, and soon appeared in front of a large cave. They walked in and hid. They heard growling. The growling grew louder, and soon they saw the monster in the entrance. Rainbow dash looked across at her friends. They were all terrified!

"Looks like it's up to me!" Rainbow dash cried and she zoomed out and kicked the monster on the nose. The monster yelled, but bashed rainbow dash into a wall, knocking her unconscious. Then he grabbed her in his jaws and ran off.

Chapter 5

"RAINBOW DASH!!!" They all cried. Suddenly, applejack felt a burst of courage. She ran out of the cave and followed the monster. The other ponies followed but could not catch up. She was going too fast! Soon, applejack caught up to the monster. It was laying rainbow dash down in its nest which was on the edge of a cliff. Applejack threw a rock at the creature and hit him on the head. It snarled and hit her away. Applejack remembered the first encounter with the beast. She couldn't face him. Then she remembered her friend rainbow dash. She remembered all the good times they had together, and got up. She ran at the beast and kicked it right in the face. It lost it's balance and fell off the cliff and landed at the bottom, dead. The others ran up to find applejack staring off the cliff lost in thought. They looked down too, and saw the monster.

"THREE CHEERS FOR APPLEJACK!!!" Pinkie yelled. "HIP HIP?"

"HOORAY!" The others cheered.

"HIP HIP?"

"HOORAY!"

"HIP HIP?!"

"HOORAY!!!" They looked over. That last hooray had also been cheered by Rainbow Dash. She was now conscious, but very weak. Apple jack picked her up and they began to walk back to their tents. On the way home Apple Jack explained exactly what had happened.

Chapter 6

That night they slept VERY well, seeing as though they were so tired. When they woke up the couldn't find apple jack any where, but she soon appeared.

"Where were you?!" Twilight said. "We've been looking everywhere for you!"

"I went back to mah town to get some stuff from mah house." Apple jack replied. Her saddle bag was stuffed. She opened it up and revealed the contents. There was a blanket, a toy pony pulling a cart, a cuddly toy pony and a picture of her parents.

"The blanket is apple bloom's, the cuddly toy is mine, the toy cart is big macintosh's and the picture's for us all," Applejack explained. After that they packed up and left. Applejack still carried rainbow dash because she had sprained her ankle and twisted her wing. When they got back to Ponyville they rushed Rainbow Dash to hospital. Applejack took her stuff home to sweet apple acres, and gave everypony their stuff. Apple bloom was thrilled to see her blanket, big macintosh cherished the toy cart, applejack put her cuddly toy on her bed and Granny Smith framed the photo. Soon twilght arrived with spike.

"Howdy Twah, what can ah do for you?" Applejack asked. "Is Rainbow dash alright?"

"She's fine," twilight answered "I just wanted you to send a letter to the princess explaining what you've learned about friendship!"

"Ok Twah!" Applejack said "ahem, Dear princess celestia, today ah learnt that when a friend is in need or in trouble, a true friend can get over any fear to save them. I also learnt that you should never hide feelings from your friends, because they can always make you feel a lot better about whatever it is that is troubling you. Sincerely, applejack."
