~Immortality~
Chapter One: A Spec Of Hope.
She staggered and stumbled throughout the shadowed and never ending forest, tears bluring her vision. A spec of light attracts her attention, she abruptly turns left and sprints towards the shimmering light as jagged branches cut into her moonlit skin.
As she were focusing on the ray of light which bewilders her. Her bare foot gets trapped between the ancient willow's roots, forcing her through the evergreen shrub. She keeps her eyes closed tightly as the radient sunlight protrudes her vision. Slowly sheilding her glowing violet eyes with her shakey delicate hand, she analyses her surroundings.
Suddenly feeling eyes burning into her, she cautiously observs around her, looking for those invasive eyes. unexpectedly her eyes met those of a dark stranger... Standing beneath the swaying trees... Her body grew tense and prepared to bolt as he slowly approaches her.
----
Damien sighed sadly as he glances outside the glazed window, he didn't even realise his mother stood behind him till he felt her soft hand on his shoulder. "Damien.." She whispered softly, not wanting to upset him. "I know you miss her.. We all do, but you can't stay in here forever."
His narrowed his eyes as he continues to stare outside the glazed window, he didn't want to forget her, he couldn't... He promised himself that he'd always look for her the day she went missing.
Days, weeks, months and even years passed by and no sign of Sibyl, everyone started losing faith but he stayed determined, knowing that she is still alive , out there in the world of unknown. As 7 years passed by Damien slowly locked himself away from others, never showing how he truly felt, how much he really wanted her safe back in his arms where she belongs.
Rememering he hadn't replied to his mother he groaned inwardly to himself, wishing everyone would just leave him to his thoughts. "I know mother, i was just thinking... I will be down for breakfast soon" His voice slightly breaking.
Hearing his mother sigh softly and quietly leave his room, Damien sat on the polished wooden floor and leans against the ocean coloured wall and puts his head in his hands feeling defeated. He wouldn't give up hope like everyone else has he thought to himself, feeling determined. He forced himself up and strode to his door confidently knowing he'll find Sibyl no matter what.
Meanwhile...
It's over.. She thought to herself. I've been caught. I knew i shouldn't of even thought for one second that i was free, nothing is ever that easy. The male figure stopped and bent down coming into eye contact with Sibyl, he slowly held his hands out in front of him as if reassuring her he wouldn't cause any harm. Narrowing her eyes at him, she slowly stood up as a new found courage raced through her.
"What do you want?" She demanded, she hears a soft chuckle and realises it came from the mysterious strange man, "Find something funny?" His expression hardened but no trace of aggression was found in his voice "You look like you needed some help, and i've come to deliver that help"
Hearing his sharp voice sent a chill running through her body. I've heard that voice before she thought. Where have i heard it? She began to run her eyes over his tall built frame, calculating his appearance. His chocolate coloured eyes shown no welcome of warmth and protection his eyes too, scanning her as if she is some threat, ready to strike. A quick flash of recognision passed through his eyes but were soon covered up with a slight smirk. She had a sudden feeling of slapping that smirk off his arrogant face.
"well? I'm sure you'd like a warm place to stay and..." His eyes travelled over her boyish ragged clothes suddenly making her feel self conscious, his smirk grew as if sensing her unease. "Some.. appropriate clothing will be available."
Well it did seem inviting and much more comfortable than the situation she's in now, she thought to herself, glancing back towards the creaky and dangerous forest she quickly made her decision. Still not trusting the unknown man in front of her, she gingerly began to follow him, never taking her observing eyes off his slightly muscled back. "What have i got myself into now?"
