Roxanne's knees gave out causing her to collapse to the floor as the realisation of Evan's words hit her. Evan had found him, who knows what could have happened. Blaine and Zach rushed from the kitchen to where she remained on the floor, both concerned for her and for Damien's safety.

"What happened?" Zach asked gently as he crouched down next to her, taking her in his arms. He could hear her muffled sobs as she wept into his chest, lacing her arms around his neck and holding him tightly to her.

"I'm sure i-it was Evan. H-he laughed and s-said 'got him'." That brought a fresh wave of tears to Roxanne's eyes making her cry even harder. Blaine stumbled from where he stood to lean against the wall for support, eventually sliding down it and hitting the floor. "We have to find him." Roxanne pleaded as her tears soaked through Zach's shirt. He gently lifted her up and carried her to the sofa, placing her softly onto the plush cushions, sitting at the end by her feet.

"Was that all he said?" Zach asked calmly, Roxanne only nodded. Zach sighed and turned to look at Blaine who was cradling his head in his hands, his frustration and guilt apparent on his face, a few stray tears escaping from his eyes too. "Can we take your car? Evan will recognise mine, if we can find him that is." Blaine nodded before he slowly pulled himself up, with a little help from Zach, he didn't look at Roxanne as he walked into the kitchen and got his keys. His usual composure seemingly non-existent now. "Rox, come on we have to go and find him." He held his hand out to her, she took it and warily got to her feet. They walked through the house and outside to Blaine as he stood waiting by the car.

"Zach, won't he be at yours? Damien I mean. That's where Evan would be right?" Blaine reasoned, if he'd gone to visit Evan the first place he'd go looking would be the Pallavicini's house surely.

"Probably, but I don't think he would have gone there, my parents wouldn't let anything happen under their roof. And anyway if something somehow did happen they would tell me straight away. Evan wouldn't risk it at the house. He may be pretty idiotic sometimes but even he isn't that stupid." Zach knew if his dad saw Evan hurting anyone he wouldn't get away with it, but he didn't know where else they could possibly find them.

"Aren't there some side streets on the way to your house? A shortcut or something." Blaine asked, thinking Damien would have gone whichever way was the quickest. If there were any side streets it would be the perfect place for Evan to attack him, just like when Blaine was 'mugged'. They were likely to be deserted and dark, the perfect conditions for Evan to pounce unseen. Zach swallowed audibly and nodded grimly.

"Less talking, we need to start looking." Roxanne's voice was becoming hoarse from crying, she walked over to Blaine's car and got in waiting for the other two to follow her lead. Once seated Blaine put the key in the ignition and they sped off into the oncoming darkness.

As they neared Zach's house Blaine slowed down considerably. All three of them were scanning the street as best as they could in the fading sunlight. It was nearing 9 o'clock now, the darkness would entirely blanket the street soon, and they still needed to find him.

"Should we get out and look down the backstreets?" Zach offered. He wasn't sure if it was utterly safe but he'd noticed the lack of light and the dwindling time in which to find Damien.

"Okay, but let's not split up its way too dark." Blaine responded. He didn't want to be alone knowing Evan was out there, nor did he want Roxanne alone in the same danger. He was even mildly concerned for Zach now that they were on good terms for the first time in a while. Roxanne and Zach nodded their agreement as Blaine parked the car and everyone got out.

"Let's start here, I know it doesn't lead directly to mine but it comes from yours at least." Zach suggested, pointing down a lane that Roxanne had used herself to get from hers to Zach's. If she left her house and walked a small way down the road she would get to this path and it would cut out some of the estates but she still had a five minute walk from the end to Zach's. It wasn't exactly a shortcut but it was one of the ways Damien could had gone.
