JUST FRIENDS
Being a friend of you was once enough for me,
We laughed, we talked, agreed on everything we see.
We treated each other as part of family,
I have never thought that, I could feel this for thee.
Whenever you smile to me, my heart swells with glee,
And my knees wobble, whenever you're beside me.
Then I dreamt about us, kissing under a tree,
It was when I knew, I love my bestfriend truly.
However it seems that I'm already too late,
When you made me meet, the one you called your soulmate.
How I wish I'm the one bestowed to you by fate,
I can just fake a smile, as I close my heart's gate.
Being a friend of you, was once enough before,
Though I ache for your love, you have now closed your door.
I will be just a friend, nothing less, nothing more,
Seeing you happy now, is just I will wish for.
END
