The Attack

#FOUR

Later, we found more white strawberries and picked them up. We had walked for a long time, so we stopped to take a break. We separated, so we promised to meet under the tallest tree in the woods in half an hour to go.  Me and Aiden chatted, while Matthew said he wanted to fishing. After half an hour, me and Aiden decided to wait under the tree. We waited like 1 hour already, so we went to the nearest pond to check on Matthew. We searched for him and he wasn't there. There was a note though. The note said
"Cara, Aiden, if you are looking for me, I have gone and please don't search for me. I'm sorry Cara, but you don't understand why I left. I have a personal problem that no one should know, including you. And that problem, is the cause why I left."

What the hell? He left us? Whatever, all we needed to do was to search for the white strawberries....... And I remembered Matthew's the one who was taking the white strawberries. Now I got it, so he left us because he wanted the white strawberries, even though we worked together to get the medicine. I was so frustrated. I shouldn't have let him be the one who took them all. I shouldn't had trusted him.

"Great, so your closest friend betrayed us!?" Aiden said with frustrating voice
"He didn't use to be like this. This is the first time he did this and I'm sure there's a reason that he couldn't tell us." I said
"Alright forget bout it. So what are we gonna do now? We didn't recognize the way to go back to the log house!" Aiden shouted with anger
"Why are you yelling at me? It seems like you think it's my fault that we won't be able to go back." I said
"I never thought that way." He said

We kept moving and trying to get out of the woods. But the situation was kinda weird. We didn't talk, like we were mad at each other even  nothing was wrong.

We wanted to give up already, but suddenly we heard a group of people's voices and were moving towards us. We were so relieved that someone found us and could save us. They were moving closer and closer, and finally got to in front of us, and they asked where were our destination.We said it was the town and we asked whether they could help us or not. They said they could, but only if we agreed to be taken to their base because the only place that was save was their base. So we agreed and they took us to their base.

Inside the base...
"Welcome! My name is Jacob and I'm sure you already knew me since I was on the tv. So, we were here to save you. Now, my crews will guide you to your room. But before that, let me ask you a few questions. Firstly, how many white strawberries did you get?"

"We got lots of them, like 5 kilograms? But unfortunately, a friend of mine named Matthew stole them from us and escaped without leaving a trace." I explained

"What proves do you have so I could believe that your white strawberries were stolen?" Jacob asked with disbelieved face

"I may not have any proves, but I swear to God I am telling the truth." I said

"Alright I'm not in the mood of fighting with a girl so let's change the topic. What's  your name?" Jacob asked

"Cara, Cara Oliver and he's Aiden Luke" I said
