Getting Closer

Yesterday was just like a dream to me. Up till now i still think that Mick did not text me. But then when i reached my school, reality came.

"Good Morning Ashley, how are you this morning?" Mick said to me with his nice voice as I walked to my seat.

I am completely stunned. Why does a hot guy likes to talk to a cold girl like me? I did not say anything, but just gave a light nod. He smiled harder this time, pat my head gently and said, " You are cute ."

""You are cute...... You are cute...... You are cute......"" This sentence keeps on repeating in my mind for the whole entire lesson. My face blushed like a fresh tomato as this is the first time in my whole entire life that someone ever said something like this to me...

Seeing my own body temperature rising quickly, I've used both of my hands to slap my face gently.
"I had to focus, this isn't the time to blush... Snap out of it Ashley, you can do it, you can!" I thought.

By the way, ever since the first day of school, Mrs Seth put Mick to sit beside me as my tablemate as she feels that Mick can help me to become more active rather than keeping that cold face of mine.

But whenever Mick starts to look at me, my heart will pound, stop, pound again and stop again continuously. I cannot control my heart, it just keeps on pounding....

"Hey Ashley I ask you, is this how you sub y into the x equation? I am lost, can you help me?" Mick consulted me during Additional Mathematics class. I paused, and explained everything to him, in a cold tone. But to be very honest, my heart just cannot stop pounding just by listening to his voice.

When i am explaining to him, somebody shouted, "Ashley can you just stop talking? It is very annoying listening to you talking so loudly. I cannot even concentrate in class, how am I supposed to pass A-Math exams?" a girl from my class stood up in the middle of the lesson and shouted at me. If I am not wrong, her name is Joyce.

"Well, I didn't even asked you to listen. If you are concentrating then you won't even hear what I just said." I replied.

*Hush sounds by my classmates*

I can see Joyce's face turning red and angry, so she sat down, and slammed her chair. After that Mick whispered to me, "I'm Sorry..."

I nodded to him but actually I don't really blame Mick because I knew that Joyce was just jealous that I am sitting and talking with Mick.

Ever since Mrs Seth change my seat, most of the girls starts to hate me (except for Yukie, Crysan and Joslyne of course). Some girls even tried to bully me, Joyce is an example. But because of my very cold attitude, this make them feel more afraid of communicating with me.

"Alright class , you are been dismissed. Remember to do Exercise 2 as homework. Thank you class, see you during the next lesson." My A-maths teacher said to the whole class. So I packed all my stuffs in my bag and carried it, ready to go back home.

Just when I was about to leave, Mick grab hold of my right hand and stopped me. I am stunned, becuase this is the first time I am having a body contact with a hot guy like him.

"Wh-what...Y-you... *cough* What do you want? I am going home, let go of me." I tried to stay calm to answer Mick but he just ignored my question. He grab hold of my hand and ran to the rooftop garden of my school.

"Ashley, I am sorry to scared you. But I just want to ask you one question, just one question okay? I promise it will be quick." Mick said to me while wiping off his beads of sweats flowing down his forehead.

"Alright sure, just make sure it will be quick." I replied.

"Urm..... W-will you be my friend? Because I feel like I am interested in you..." Mick explained, while I see a light blush across his face. But wait what did he just say? Mick wants to be my friend, is he even serious?

Very calmly i replied, "Are you serious? Do you know being my friend needs to pay concequences? Especially when I have this freaking cold attitude. Are you sure you want to be my friend? Thanks for being interested in me, but I am not interested to you. So please i beg you, i don't want to hurt you , just leave me alone..."

Mick does not have any reaction, but rather just gave me a huge smile to me and replied," But do you know, what makes me really feel more interested in you was your cold and cute little attitude? I think you are very attractive whenever you tried to be cold to someone, I think you are more when you are faking it."

"W-what are you talking about? I-I-I..." I really do not know how to reply him. This is the second time Mick told me something embarrassing.

"That is why you are cute." Mick gave me that gentle smile while patting my head again.

I'd literally ran out of words. I was completely stunned since the past three minutes, and when my conciousness finally came back, Mick had already left.
