Going back to school on Tuesday was a struggle. I had slept most the day yesterday cuddling with Zack. Jared and Cam had stayed late to play Mario Kart. They really are children  at heart. I got out of bed and put on my blue yoga pants and wore a black baggy shirt. I threw my hair up in a ponytail and put on my glasses in the hopes that it will help with my headache. I woke up later than I usually do so I didn't put any makeup on. My dad wouldn't allow me to drive so Zack picked me up. As I grabbing a water out of the refrigerator, there was a knock a door. Guessing it was Zack, I grabbed my bag and opened the door to see his smiling face.
"Good morning beautiful!" He chipped before kissing my cheek.  I smiled shyly. "How are you feeling today?" He asked while grabbing my bag from my arm.
"I still have a headache but I'm not as tired as yesterday." I replied as I locked my front door and followed him to his car. He opened the door for me and I climbed in. He ran around to the other side and got in.
"So your dad told me to keep an eye on you today. If you start not feeling good, text me and I will come get you out of class. Ok?" he asked as he backed out of the driveway.
I looked at him and said "I'm going to fine. Don't worry so much!"
"Sam, I'm always going to worry about and so is your dad. You just got to get use to it babe. Just promise me, please?"
"I promise." Then kissed his cheek. The rest of the car ride was silent. He was holding my hand and rubbing his thumb over it. He always did this while driving and made me feel butterflies in my stomach every time.
Around this time, he pulled into the school parking lot and was able to get a spot right up front. He got out of the car quick and ran to open my door. He attempted to carry my bag but I took it right back.
"Nice try. Thank you though." I said walking away. He ran to catch up to me and grabbed my hand.
"I'll walk you to class." The walk to AP Lit involved us stopping here and there to talk to the team. Once in front of my class, "Have a great day. Remember what I said to you." And with that he pecked me on the lips. I walked into class and prepared myself for an period full of poetry.
4th period was finally over and it was time for lunch. I grabbed a salad out of the lunch line and sat down at the table with Cam, Jared, Devin and Mackayla.
"Hey Sam, how's your head?" Asked Cam with a mouth full of cheeseburger.
I laughed "I'm feeling a lot better." As I looked around, I noticed that Zack was no where in sight. "Do you guys know where Zack is?"
"He and Amy stayed after science to do their project." Replied Mackayla. I bit my tongue when I heard this. Amy has always had this thing for Zack and she has always hated me. "I know what you're thinking and Zack isn't like that. You have to trust him."
" You're right." I replied. I look down at my salad and realize that I'm not hungry anymore. I push away my salad and take out my phone. No new messages, not even one from Zack. Just then the bell rings. I grab my stuff and start to leave but Mackayla grabs my arm.
"Trust" is all she says before she skips off with Devin.
