Chapter 3

-no one's pov-

It's been a few months since the school year has started. (y/n) has become good friends with teams RWBY, JNPR, and CVFY.

-(Y/N) pov-

(y/n): "It's fun to hang out with them even if I just have to be the teaching assistant for the first year students. Speaking of which I need to focus on helping Glynda with the students training in fighting. Some more then others"

(y/n) looks at Juane's outline while he is panting on the stage fighting Cardin Winchester. Juane runs at cardin who just movies to the side then attacks knocking Juane's shield away then swings down. Juane blocks his attack with his sword.

Cardin: this is the part, where you lose.

Juane: I will not be easil-

Cardin knees Juane in the gut making Juane falls to the ground then as he lifts his mace up and is about to swing it down when I rush over and blocked the attack as the the lights turn on.

Glynda: Thank you (y/n). As you can see students, Mr. arc's aura has reached into red, in a tournament style duel he is no longer fit to fight and the offical can call the match. Glynda turns her head to Juane Mr. Arc it's been weeks please learn to refer to you scroll during battle. It'll help you decided the right course of action or if you should go into a more defensive strategy. We don't want you to be gobbled up my a beowolf now do we?

Cardin: speak for yourself... he lifts his mace onto his shoulder and walks back to his team

Juane just sits up and sighs, I walked over and held a hand out to help him up. Juane looks up and smirks a little taking my hand and stand when I pull him up and letting go of my hand. Glynda then reminds everyone about the vale festival coming up then she dismisses the class.

Juane: thanks for the help (y/n)... I guess I need to work on my combat skills

he lowers his head and you put a hand on his shoulder.

(y/n): its okay Juane, it just takes practice.

he nods then we both left catching up to teams RWBY and JNPR

Yang: hey guys we're going into vale want to come with?

Parrha: maybe next time we need to do some studying. team JNPR leaves

Ruby: what about you (y/n)? want to tag along?

(y/n): shrugs sure sounds fun.

Ruby: yay! I-i mean okay. her cheeks turn light pink

-time skip no one's pov-

(y/n) and team Rwby walk into a restaurant and getting seated.

Yang: so (y/n) are you going to compete in the tournament during the festival?

(y/n): If I can get my adoptive father to let me.

Blake: your adopted?

Weiss: by who?

(y/n): Ozpin. He took me in when I was young.

Ruby: I'm sorry, to hear that.

Yang: what happen to your real parents?

(y/n) lowered his head as his smile faded from his face and everyone else god a sad look in their eyes

Yang: im sorry I didn't mean to--

(y/n): no it's fine... I can tell you guys. Whoever they are it seems they didn't want a faunas as their child. So they dropped me off in a dirty box in the middle of an ally here in vale. Then I felt a man pick me up as I began to cry.

-flash back-

a man with black hair and red eyes dressed in a gray shirt, black pants, black dress shoes, and a torn hole filled cape was walking down the side walk in vale when he suddenly heard a baby cry.

????: looks around not doesn't see anyone but still hears the cries where is that coming from?

The man walks to a certain ally He put his hand on the handle of his weapon and walks down, he then stops at a cardboard box and sees baby (y/n) wrapped in a (f/c) blanket. The man gasps and kneels down picking him up as (y/n) cries.

????: shh... is okay kid I got you now... he looks around and then takes out his scroll and calls a younger version of Ozpin

Ozpin: Qrow? Is something wrong? What is that crying sound?

Qrow: Ozpin, I found this kid abandoned in an ally. What should I do? I just can't leave... him or her.

Ozpin: he is quite for a moment Bring this child back to beacon. I'll watch over it until we find out what to do.

-Flashback ends-

(y/n) sniffs a little and ruby wipes a tear away that was sliding down his cheek.

(y/n): Thank you ruby.

she nods and then hugs him and (y/n) stiffens at first before hugging her back. The other three girls smiles as this and Yang silently signals them for them to follow her leaving you two alone.

Ruby: I'm sorry for you're bad past... It must have been hard.

(y/n): it's okay. Thank you for caring Ruby.

she nods then lets you go and then sees everyone left

Ruby: wait, where did everyone go?

(y/n): I think they left us to have our moment.

Ruby blushes o-oh. "Come on ruby. Your a big girl just tell him" h-hey (y/n)?

(y/n): yeah rubes?

Ruby: h-how would you feel if you knew someone liked you?

(y/n): uh... depends on what you mean by like. Like as a friend? Or something more?

Ruby: Something more. Like you had a feeling someone liked you and wanted to tell you but just can't.

(y/n): o-oh. Well personally I don't think anyone likes me but I think it be nice to have someone. Why?

Instead of answering ruby just leaned over and kissed (y/n) softly. Both of them blushed before (y/n) kissed back. The kiss lasted a few moments before ruby pulled back.

Ruby: your wrong about that (y/n), because I... I think I love you.

(y/n) was shocked to hear this but smiled and then put an arm around ruby pulling her closer.

(y/n): I-I love you too ruby...

Yang squeals from outside the window

Yang: I KNEW IT!!!!
