Col•or•ism:
The discrimination of African Americans by skin tone in their own community, usually subconsciously done
Perpetuated during slavery and by the media which seems to suggest lighter skin females to be of a higher stance than darker ones
Perpetuated by some black men who treat lighter skinned females in a higher regard than darker toned ones.
An untrue inplication that darker skin girls cannot be as fine as lighter ones.
Bullshit.

"Ahhh, that's why you still single now bro. Zendaya don't wantcha ass." Bradley joked as we shot around the gym just for fun since practice was over.
"It's not that, I just haven't found a good one." I shrugged.
"Then who would be a good one?" Kris asked.
"A basic light skin girl with curly hair." John laughed and I mimicked his face.
"We all got types, so shut up." I rolled my eyes.
"But your type stupid." Otto laughed, tossing the ball to Ramon.
"Let the nigga be dumb. More chocolate for us." Ramon said and yanked his head towards the locker room, letting us know this little sesh was over.
"Ay kid." Brad shouted, catching up to me as we headed off court.
"Yeah, what's up?" I mumbled.
"I'll tell you after I shower." he said before jogging off, and I smacked my teeth.
"Rook, why they clowning you?" Nene laughed.
"Little boy said he don't like black girls." Kieff butted in.
"I didn't say that," I shrugged.
"Oh right... he said 'she was too dark for me'." Kieff said, walking off.
Nene rummaged through his area and grabbed his foam neck rest and tossed it to me.
"What's this for?"
"To help you sleep more comfortably."
I rolled my eyes, throwing the pillow to the side and getting ready for a shower myself.
After washing up and pulling on some sweats, slides and a tee, Brad came up to me fully dressed, making me look like a bum ass nigga.
"So what you had to say?" I asked, picking up my bag, getting ready to leave.
"So there's this girl that you should see about-"
"No," I shot it down as we started to walk towards the tunnel.
"Boy I ain't askin ya picky ass, I'm tellin you. She's Kamiah's cousin, you know Kamiah, you met her at my last party a month ago."
