The boy woke in a field, confused. Fear engulfed him as he hear the caw.
Why? Why me? His only thought, the only thing real in his head other than the caw. He ran, through the fields, the forests, and finally made it to the barn.
"HELP!!!" He screamed in desperation.
No answer.
The boy ran into the barn, shuddering behind a haystack. Slowly he began to close his eyes, and jolted upright, only to find a worried look on his mother's face.
"Just a dream." I murmured.
I pulled from my mother's warm, realising this thing was not my mother. First I saw the eyes. Those evil eyes, the devilish red glow that lay just behind her eyes.
Or was it?
