"Don't blink", sings the country song.
I honestly freaked out a little and kept looking into the forest as the song kept playing on the radio. I heard movement in the deep part of the forest and I swear I saw something in there. I would have gotten out of my dads truck, but the light above him turned green, and we moved, before I could say anything.
My name is Kelsie Lomis, and I know everything about the Doctor. I don't know him personally, but I watch him on my tv. I always knew he was real, but nobody believes me.
My family made me come with them to a campground called Shadow Rock to live there. I heard the stories about the fast and frightening creatures known as the Weeping Angels, so I was a little excited because If I get close to the angels, the Doctor could show up to save the world once again, and I would finally be able to meet him. But only if I find him.
No one knows who the Doctor is, but me. I watch him all the time, but every time my parents or siblings walk in while I watch his stories, the channel changes. I don't understand why no one else can see his stories like me, but I feel special to know about this wonderful man.
Hopefully soon a man will show up in a big blue box, saying his name is John Smith, or the Doctor.

"Kelsie, why are you so excited about Shadow Rock? You haven't been this happy in a while", my dad said.
"I heard of these stories about the Weeping Angels, so-"
"Here you go again with these crying statues".
"Weeping Angels dad", I said to him.
"Kelsie, I thought you got over this nonsense. He is not REAL", said my brother Nate.
After Nate said that, I just sat there saying nothing for the next five minutes.

Sometimes I feel just horrible to know the Doctor, because of what happened when I first seen the Doctor on my tv.
When I was about nineteen, I was sitting in my living room by my tv watching the price is right, when my tv just changed the channel. I saw this man running with a blonde woman, away from manikins. I tried everything to change the channel; I got new batteries, pressed the buttons really hard, and even got up to my tv to change it from the box, but it did nothing.
After that day I tried to explain to my family day after day that the doctor is real, because of how it showed me on my tv. Of course nobody believed me, so after one year, my father put me in a mental hospital in Denver to get the Doctor out of my mind. After 90 days in there, I told Dr.Hans that I just made up the Doctor and made myself believe it, as a lame excuse to forget about when my mom died. I lied though, just so i could get out of there. Ever since I got out, every time I'm by a tv, the Doctor shows up.
I am now 22 years old, and I am still living with my dad, because of as he would call it my "childish excuses" about the Doctor.

After that little talk with my family about the Weeping Angels, we finally got to the campground. My dad and my brother went inside the office to check in while I stayed in the car. I looked out of the window and right in front of the office was a statue.
Now I remember the doctor say that all statues are the angels, but obviously they are called the Weeping Angels because most of them are in that form. The statue was a group of people, perhaps a family gathered around on a bench. I was afraid to look away, but to make sure they were angels, I blinked. Just once.
I looked again and they moved. There heads were turned towards me. Just staring at me. I didn't look in its eyes, because I definitely knew better than to do that.
"Boo!", yelled my brother, as he came up to the window.
"Don't do that Nate!", I said while hitting the window.
While dad and Nate got back in the car, I looked back at the family statue, and the family was gone. Usually If I were a normal person, I would freak out to the point of leaving, but I needed to keep going with my find for the Doctor.

When we got to our cabin, it looked huge! There were no neighbors, but we were surrounded by trees. The woods surrounding us was dead silent. No birds chirping, no grasshoppers, nothing. Also I noticed how gloomy it is here. There were a lot of grey clouds in the sky, covering the sun, and by the office there was a little fog.
"Kelsie! Nate! Come inside", yelled my dad.
When I got inside, I noticed that the place was all furnished and was very retro, like 1970's retro. There was a hallway straight ahead from the front door. On the right was two bedrooms, and on the left was a bathroom and a hall closet. There was one more bedroom at the end of the hallway straight ahead. I heard movement in there, so I decided to go and see what is in there. I walked up to the door, and I grabbed the doorknob.
