"Hi!!!"
"Ari!!"
My bestfriend Ariana Stevens. I've known her since I could remember, and is like a sister to me. I walk into the room, and it is full of my stuff. Not unpacked, probably because Dad wants me to decorate my room the way I want to.
"What are you doing here?" I ask.
"I am here to stay! I am going to be living here with you guys for a while, while my parents are in Jamaca, for their anniversary", she says.
"Awesome! How long are they going to be gone for?"
"About three weeks"
"Cool!" I say while we jump up and down in excitement.
I saw that her things were across the room already unpacked on one side.
"So you unpacked already", I say.
"Yah of course but I am letting you have the bigger half, since I'm only staying here for three weeks. Hey maybe I will find somewhere around here to live, that's cheap of course, so I could be close to you".
"What about greenfield? Don't you want to live by your family?"
"I can always visit them any time I want, and plus there is nothing there for me anymore except my parents, so I might as well be with my best friend".
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After we unpacked my things, Ari and I decided to look around.
Ari has been there for me forever, through the times I went to the mental hospital, to listening to my doctor talk. I don't know if she believes me or doesn't. She never officially said no, but never said yah. She is like an older sister to me, and has always looked after me like a sister or best friend would, but I don't know how she stayed being my friend through all that crazy. I mean she stayed in town after high school, she is like 26 now, and never went to college.
She never left town, not once, and now all of a sudden, she leaves town to come stay with my family. Doesn't that seem a little suspicious to you?
When we left the cabin, I finally asked, "why are you here?"
"Well aren't you happy to see me"
"I don't mean that in a harsh way, I mean like you never leave town, and now all of a sudden because I left, you come with".
"Well to be honest, I did leave because of you. Not to be creepy or anything haha, but the only thing there for me was you".
"You could have left to go travel the world, or go to college. Why did you choose to leave with me and not do something more exciting?"
"I could have, but I didn't because I am not much of a "traveler" you might say, but when you left, I felt bored because I had no one there to entertain me, so I thought hey might as well come by you when my parents leave, so I wouldn't be alone and you wouldn't be alone".
"Wow. You are actually being sentimental".
"Shut up. I said I needed someone to entertain me, so I came here. You are my "clown". Now go entertain me. Make me laugh peasant!"
"Yes my liege. Haha. Lets go find the hang out center".
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We were walking for five minutes now and we finally found the hang out center or diner. We walk inside and there was basically no one here but staff and a couple of guys in the far corner of the cabin. We sit down at the first booth we see and look at the menu's.
"So Kelsie, why did you choose this place? Cause I know as hell you didn't choose it for the scenery", Ari says.
"Okay, I didn't. I chose it because of the weeping angel legend", I whisper.
"What can I get you ladies?", asked the waitress.
"I will have some pecan pie, and my friend here will have the special", I said.
"Oki doki. Be right back".
"You know me so well haha. So by weeping angels, you mean those statues in doctor who?"
"Why are you calling my visions doctor who? That's not his name".
"I know, but since you watch his "stories" on the tv and you don't know his real name, you might as well treat it like a tv show, hence, doctor who".
"Smart, I like it. But as I was saying, yes the ones from... doctor who", I said.
"Well as I remember it, you told me those statues are dangerous, like you need to always look at them and crap".
"Yes, and when you look away they move. Also if they touch you, they send you back in time to live a whole different life and die around this time, but being very old of course".
"Uh huh. I get it. No need to explain it all.... again. Now have you seen any yet?"
"Yah, one group. It looked like a family, but when I blinked, they were staring at me, like I was important or something, but when I blinked again, they were gone".
"Okay, we'll maybe they just thought because you are new, you are important? I don't know, they never really get new people here at shadow rock".
"Ya maybe, but keep your eyes peeled for any, and let me know any information you find".
"Sure Kels. I will".
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We have been sitting here for twenty minutes talking and eating when Ari interrupts me,
"Hold on a sec. Those boys have been sitting there staring at us since we got in here. Hey boys! Take a picture, it will last longer!"
"What's your problem".
I turn around and say, "sorry my friend doesn't like when people look at her for more than two seconds".
"Hey! It's actually three seconds to be exact", she smirks.
The boys get up and walk over by us.
"Can we talk to you two for a second?" The cute blonde British boy asks.
I get up and sit next to Ari, and the boys sit down in front of us. One was a cute dirty blonde, about six foot, has a british accent, with beautiful blue eyes, and the other had black hair, green eyes and was Asian.
"My name is Charles Samson, but call me Charlie", the British blonde said.
"And my name is Aaron Xiong", says the British Asian.
Charlie said, "I couldn't help but over hear that your new here and were talking about the legend".
"What a peeper. Want me to take care of them?" Says Ari.
"It's fine, what about that Charlie?" I say.
"Well I just wanted to know how much you know about the legend".
"I know that people in the past fifty years have spotted weeping stone angels randomly in the forest, and some people believe that they have killed people that have gone missing here."
"Okay just wondering. Aaron and I have been living here since we were kids and I thought since you both are so interested in the legend we could tell you our point of view".
"That would be awesome. So tell me, what do you know about weeping angels?".
