Zero Kiryu *Vampire Knight* My living nightmare

Gasping I sit up in my once comfy bed. Blankets that were once on my torso had fallen to my legs. A cold sweat covered my (s/c) skin, making it more uncomfortable to move around. (e/c) orbs moved around the room in terror, checking every surrounding. My breath evened back out once I realized I'm still in my room. 'I'm okay..' I tell myself. No way was I going back to bed, groaning reach over the mound of covers to the short nightstand. Grabbing the cellular device I click it on.

3:00am

Sighing I click it off and place it back in its spot. "This is the third time this week.." I mutter annoyed. Throwing the rest of the blankets off my sweaty body, I climb out of bed. Trotting over to the restroom I flip the light switch to let golden light cover the room. I close the door behind me and lock it. Walking slowly over the shower I shake my head in disappointment at myself. Grabbing the metal handle that controls the heavenly warm water or evil cold water, I turn it to the warm side.

The shower head then suddenly shot to life waiting for me to enter into the warmth it was providing. Mumbling to myself, I discard my clothes. Moving the glass door back enough for me to step inside, then placing my delicate foot inside the slipper surface then the next one. Water rushed down my body wiping away all the dirt. Closing the shower door, I then stepped farther into the warmth. I stood there taking in the nice refreshing water as I let my mind drift.

This dream.. no this nightmare, I have had it from last Sunday. It always starts the same way, pain. Pain all over my body and a metallic smell that filled my nose. I would glance down and see red everywhere, allover me and the floor. I would close my eyes and scream then when I opened them once more I was trapped in a cage like box. I would be so terrified I would start shaking. Then footsteps. They would echo around the room so I had no idea where they were coming from. A pale hand would then reach through the bars and grab my arm. After that point I would wake up.

Frowning, I turn off the water. Swinging open the show door I grab a towel form the rack right beside it. Then hop out onto the cold white tiled floor. Wrapping the towel around my body, I open the main doorway and strut out. 'Now need to think about it now..'

*time skip to 6am*

Three hours, that's how long I've been awake waiting for school to start. I tried to go back to bed but it was useless. My bag was draped over my slouched shoulder. I knew there was dark bags under my (e/c) dull eyes. At this moment I was trudging down the way walk to Cross Academy. Yuki Cross, my 'friend' was at my right side and her friend Zero was beside her.

How me and Yuki became 'Friends' no idea. Lazily I lifted my gaze to the said female. She was beaming with happiness, her pale skin had no blemishes or markings. Her big bright auburn eyes shined with glee and had another emotion in them. Her brown shoulder length hair bounced lighted every step she took. Compared to me, she was a goddess no wonder all the night class guys, and Zero, like her. Me on the other hand was the complete opposite, in my own eyes. My hair was a frizzy mess of (h/c), that was put into a low pony tail because of the said frizz. My (s/c) had scars, mainly on my legs and arms. Along with three claw scars on my cheek from a attack that happened to me. Dull (e/c) eyes were to pull the look all off. Gripping tighter to the bag strap we approached the day class building.

"Oh wait (Y/n)!" Yuki called with her high pitched feminine voice. I stopped walking and turned to her. Sighing I answered "Yes, Yuki?" She smiled. Normally I just kept walking and ignored her but today I was in a sort of good mood. "I was wondering if you wanna go to the night class dorm with me tonight?" I raised an eyebrow at her question. "Really?" I ask. She gave a sheepish laugh and rubbed the back of her neck "You see, uh, my friend wants to meet you.." Shaking my head I turn and continue to walk. "I'll meet you outside the building when classes are over.." I say. I could literally hear her smile when she replied "Yes! See you then (y/n)!"
