Uta *Tokyo Ghoul* (Contest winner) Flowers

(this one is more so sad than Yandere, oops)

Sighing deeply, I slowly made my way down the sidewalk. Spring time was now in the air in Japan, which meant main feeding season for ghouls. Though, they can survive a few days without food doesn't mean the eating stops during the winter of course. They just slow down on hunting due to the fact almost everyone likes to stay inside during the cold season.

How do I know this? Well being half ghoul helps a lot. Main hint half a ghoul, I'm also part experiment. I was a normal human once, till my lame excuse of a mother gave me to the Commission of Counter Ghoul or also known as the Doves. Then came the worst part, they tore me open and replaced my insides with a ghouls, then added so many serums into my tiny body I lost count. This happened when I was 5.

They made me into a weapon, saying that I would kill other ghouls with them, and once my part was done, I was to be killed off.

Being 5 at the time, I was scared. Terrified, if I messed up one time I was going to be killed. So, I played my part perfectly, pushing my due date as far as possible.

Pushing the café's doors open, a smell of fresh coffee and ghoul hit my nose like a tidal wave. Yes, I know I was supposed to kill ghouls but the owner and I have a past. He saved my life once, and in return made me make a promise to help protect the café along with the people in it. "Hey Kaneki I'll hav-" I stopped once my eyes landed on the new comer. His hair was black with half of his head shaved, he looked good with it though, the rest of the hair was placed into a pony tail. His skin was a pale color with tattoos on his arms. A grey tank top underneath a black wrap sweater, along with harem pants and black sandals. He is also wearing a black necklace with round, white gems hanging from it. Along with black sunglasses.

Clearing my throat I sat down one seat away from him at the bar part of the café. " Hey Lorelei, the same as normal?" Kaneki asks. Nodding my head in response he set out to get my order. I glanced over the young man beside me, seeing he was already looking in my direction. "Uh hello" I say to him. "Hi" was all he said in return. "I've never seen you before, new?" I asked raising a eyebrow. He shook his head no, then went back to staring ahead of him.

"Here you go" Kaneki said placing the coffee in front of me with a gentle smile. I grinned back at him "Thanks" I gladly took the cup from him. A bright blush covered his cheeks "A-Anytime.." with that a scrambled off to take other orders. I placed the cup to my lip, drinking the bitter sweet liquid. This was bliss, being the only thing ghouls could have that was human's. I looked over to see the man staring at me once again. Placing my cup down, I turned fully to him. "What's your name?" I asked. "Uta, yours?" He said facing me as well. "Lorelei Blair" I replied placing my hand out to shake his. Uta raised his and grabbed mine, with a firm shake we both let go. My mobile device the nstarted buzzing in my pocket, sighing I said "Pleasure, but I must go now. Till next time." (seewhatIdidthere) I placed cash on the counter, standing up I get ready to exit the café. I take one last look at Uta, to see him waving goodbye. I wave back and push the door open.

~timeskip 3 months~

I growl as my mask broke. "Damn it.." I throw the broken pieces to the ground. "Lets finish this, ghoul" The man moved damned fast. So fast that I nearly missed seeing it. My body seemed to react on its own, without conscious thought. He slid to his right, opposite to the direction he had been circling as the man rushed toward me. Everything in my vision blurred as the battle resumed.

The man threw a block with his left hand as his kagune of his body swung right and tried to hook my left leg with his own, trying to throw me to the ground. Turning forward and blocking my right, I slap my left hand against the middle of the opponent's back as he slid past. The blow caught the opponent between his shoulder blades. My kagune shaped like a scorpions tail came out, stabbing the man in the back. He fell limp to the ground.
