Page woke up early this morning. She neither hated nor loved her birthday. She felt that it was merely another day in the year. Her plan was go to school then go home and read wattpad. Her best friend Sophie, also known as her "fairy godmother" sent her a text this morning saying she had a surprise in store for her. After receiving that text Page knew that her perfectly normal day has been tossed out.
Page's POV (At School)
I walked around the school waiting for time to pass by. My first class of the day was to start in another twenty minutes. I have another ten minutes until the first bell rings. I expected Sophie to have plotted some crazy idea when I arrived at school. To my surprise I haven't seen Sophie all morning. I decide to head to my locker which is in the freshman hallway.
As soon as I open my locker three balloons floated out of my locker, each of them saying Happy Birthday. Sophie popped out of no where singing me a bit of the birthday song and then threw glitter in my face. Everyone in the freshman hallway is now looking my way. Even the Sophomore Sanha who was walking by.
Sophie smiles widely, but I don't know if I can keep from smacking her in the head. "Thanks," I mutter. "No prob, I have another present for you though," Sophie chirped. "Is it going to make me feel even more embarrassed?" I ask. "No, at least I don't think so. I actually think your gonna love it," Sophie says happily. "Come on we're gonna be late for first hour if we don't get going," I say tiredly. Sophie then loops her arm with mine and we preceded downstairs.
I was about to make it the bottom of the stairs, when I felt someone push me forwards. Before I fall someone grabs my wrist and waist, preventing me from falling. I look up to see Sanha supporting me. He helps me stand up and then asks if I was okay. I muttered a thank you and told him I was okay. He then walked off into another direction. I look behind me wondering where Sophie was while I was almost falling. I noticed Sophie was now standing behind me and walking to my side. She has a smirk plastered on her face and threw me a wink.
"Did you do that on purpose!" I exclaim while walking into our classroom. "Maybe. . ." Sophie says. "I could have broken something," I say angrily. "But you didn't . . . Besides this is just phase one in my plan," Sophie says. "I better not get hurt," I say. Our conversation comes to an end as the bell rings. We then go to our seats as our teacher walks in.
(Time Skip to third period)
Sophie and I proceeded to our third period class were we both have art. Before I go sit down in my usual seat Sophie drags me away to another table. I give her a questioning look, which she waves off. We both then begin our individual art projects. Our teacher had recently assigned us to a new designing project. We are all to come up with detailed designs to put into our one big design. My art work is kind of hard to explain. I did swirls within my design which isn't what the teacher wants, so I'll have to come up with more details later.
Sophie on the other hand is worrying about how her art project isn't perfect enough. I honestly think her art looks fine but she always stresses over the little things. She even claimed her art looked like a flower octopus, what ever that means. The door to the classroom is then creaked open. I look behind me to see Sanha running in. He goes and apologizes to our teacher and then proceeds to find an empty seat. I end up looking around and see that the only empty seat is right next to me.
Sanha makes his way towards us and smiles an awkward smile, which I return awkwardly. I was wondering why Sophie didn't sit by me like she usual does, but I guess that question is answered now. I try to focus on my art work but Sanha is making it a little difficult for me. It's kinda distracting if an adorable guy is sitting next to you, especially if he's staring at you. I think he wants to say something to me. Maybe he is just too shy to say something.
