I jolted upwards, breathing swiftly. I looked around the sterile room, my eyes lingering on every little thing. My eyes closed sleepily, and I yawned. I looked at the clock on the wall. I was sure it read 2:33 pm, but I wasn't completely sure. Everything had a tinge of blur to it.
I looked at a white board in the room, and if it was updated, then the day was January 4th. I missed Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, even my birthday. I shrugged, letting out an exasperated sigh.
I put my feet on the floor, and the tile was cold. I shuddered, pulling my feet back up. Bracing myself, I set my feet back down.
I wrapped my arms around myself, walking to the door quietly. I wrapped my fingers around the doorknob, hesitating at the ever-lingering thoughts of rejection. I shook the feeling, mustering up confidence. I opened the door, stepping into the warmer hallway. I walked down the hallway, and descended the stairs. My dull eyes first met Ben's, as he sat at the dining room table, with the others.
"Korra", he breathed, dropping his fork. It made a metallic sound that made you cringe away, but I didn't. I was too excited. Tired, but excited.
"Ben...", I trailed off, sporting a small smile.
Everyone looked at my small figure standing in the doorway, and all that was heard were utensils dropping, and mouths going agape.
Ben rushed to me, pulling me into a ginger hug. I felt his warm breath of my neck, as I wrapped my arms around him, smiling. He was soon pulled back by Sally as she wrapped her arms around my waist. Jack just said hello, politely hugging me.
"We should go on a kill-spree soon, you know"? Jeff said, grinning as usual. I nodded, pulling loose strands away from my face.
Hoodie engulfed me into a hug, pulling back with a sorrowful face. I peered around the room, dazed with confusion.
"W-where's Masky"? I asked, biting my lip.
"Yesterday, you were pronounced dead. You've been out several months, but this is the first time that you've supposedly died. We tried many CPR's, and procedures, to no avail. We do not know how, but you are here, alive. Masky has been awake for 3 weeks now, staying by your side. Yesterday, he couldn't take it. He has been in his room ever since. I suggest you go to your room, instead of seeing him so soon." Slendy teleported in front of me, explaining the Masky situation. I sighed with relief, atleast he was still alive. I trudged up to my room, to find everything the way it was months ago. I checked every drawing, to find everything in its correct order.
I plopped into the chair, taking out a pencil and piece of paper. That night, I drew a picture of what was on my mind. Actually, it was the only thing on my mind. It was of Masky.
