That morning, I woke up due to an annoying tap on my shoulder.
"Korra....Korra", Ben's voice rang out repetitively, drawing my name out.
"Mm, what"? I mumbled, pushing him away. I'd apparently fell asleep at my desk, and immediately shot up.
Ben smiled, leaving the room. I got up from my seat sluggishly, stretching out my sore limbs. I dressed in a hoodie, and descended downstairs.
Ben looked up, satisfied with my awakening. Jeff sat on the counter, looking off into the distance. I shrugged, turning my head to Hoodie. He sat on the couch, playing some little game with Sally. Nobody else was in the room. Not Masky, either. I sat on the counter next to Jeff, hitting him lightly in the head.
He looks over at me, kissing me on the cheek. My face burns red, and I look away. He starts laughing, as he hops down from the counter. I roll my eyes, kicking my feet back and forth lightly.
Jeff and I had a strange relationship. We weren't enemies, but we weren't best friends. No, we didn't have a relationship going on. It was strange to describe, so I'd rather not even get into that subject.
I hoped off of the counter, searching for hoodie. He still had Sally in his lap.
"Sally, hon, can you go play? Me and Hoodie need to talk about grownup things", Sally jumped off of his lap, most likely going to her room. I sat down on the couch with Hoodie.
"Hoodie, is Masky okay? Where is he"? I question, my mind racing.
"Well, he also went into a coma... He woke up two weeks before you did, and ever since he's been locked in his room. He feels really bad about letting Zalgo an Jane hurt you. They got away...", Hoodie trailed off, looking down. Again, he continued, "Well, Masky doesn't know you're awake yet. He loves you though, Korra", I nodded, sighing. I did love him, more than anything. And I just hoped Hoodie was right.
I jumped up from the couch, and went upstairs. I heard a faint 'Good luck' from Hoodie. I approached his door, knocking solidly. I would admit, I was scared.
"What is it"? I heard a gruff response.
I waited three seconds, before saying, "It's me",
There was silence for about five seconds until the door opened and slammed shut in an instance. I looked around, noticing I was in Masky's room. Masky paced around, covering his face. Yeah, he didn't have his signature mask on.
I'd saw him once before without his mask, just once. And let's just say, I be content with him not ever wearing his mask again. But I bet he wouldn't agree.
He uncovered his face, coming up to me and grabbing my shoulders.
"Korra, yo-you're here, and yo-u're alive", his voice cracked, and he pulled me into a long hug.
"Yeah, I'm alive", I gave a small laugh, and he sighed.
"I'm so so so sorry, I should've of let you get hurt. I'm sor-", I cut him off, by laughing.
"Hey, calm down. It wasn't your fault. I'm okay! Okay?", slowly, he did calm down and that meant that I should leave.
"Goodnight, Masky", I slipped out of the room before he could protest, and slipped into mine. I giggled as u shut the door, and jumped into my bed happily. I layed on the bed that night, easily falling asleep.
Things weren't completely better, but they were getting that way.
