YEAR 2036
Release him from this curse he's in.

I'M COMING FOR YOU MICKEY.

I thought to myself.

DON'T WORRY I'M COMING.
I quickly ran through the lonely, grey corridor. Air traveled through my button up night gown. My body was heating up. The cold air felt refreshing against my skin.
My arms, neck, legs, everything is sore from the night before. I then notice something odd about the corridor. Rooms doors are locked and no windows. Not even in rooms. I hope my Watcher doesn't see me. They're so overprotective.

I'm not dumb enough to kill myself.

I haven't seen Mickey in three weeks. But it feels longer. I hope they took care of him well. They took him away from me....now I'm gonna get him back. I was headed for "the lab room", or that's what my friends and I call it. Doctors and Scientists do some pretty odd things in there, from what I've heard. Rumors spread quickly about this new disease, but I don't usually listen. Some people here are mad. A million things raced in my mind.

Is Mickey still "sick"?
When did this "disease" start spreading?
Does Mickey have it?
Why won't the Commanders tell me anything?

I reached then end of the corridor. A door was in front of me. There was words painted in black on it.
WORKERS ONLY
I read.

I could hear my heart pounding inside of me. I placed my hand on the silver handle of the door. Before I could twist it, the door opened. I quickly pulled my hand away. Behind the door was a women with short, orange hair and glossy bangs. At first she looked unfamiliar. But the I slowly reconfigured her. Ms. Rox was her name. She smiled at me revealing her perfect white teeth.

"Alessia", I heard her say before I squeezed through her and the side of door. Entering the room I looked around and saw him. He was inside a grey room with white lights shining on him. The only thing spectating us was a glass window. He laid on a big, weird-looking red chair. He was asleep. He looked so peaceful.
The lights made his hair seem a lighter shade of brown than I never saw before.
"Mickey.... Mickey" I whispered.
I knocked on the glass lightly. Ms. Rox placed her hand on my shoulder and squeezed it tightly.

"What do you think your doing?"
She didn't give me time to answer and pushed my hand off the glass. Anger built inside of me.
"Leave m-" I bit my tongue.
I felt her eyes on me. I didn't look back.
"He's still under inspection. We won't be releasing anyone infected anytime soon". She paused and looked back at Mickey. Biting her lip.

Sad? She looks sad. No. Not a good word for her expression. Different ?

"He's not infected with this disease!" I snapped.
"Disease? I never mention-" she paused once more. "How do...how do-" she tried asking before I snapped again.
"How can you be so clueless? Everyone has been taking about it for almost a week".
She stays silent for a bit. Then she finally breaks it.

"That's strange" she says.

I didn't want to continue this conversation. I wanted to run into the room and hug Mickey tightly. He's not even my brother. But I love him. He's the only thing I have. My friends are just so..... dangerous compared to me.
