"Heroes are remembered, but legends never die. Isn't that what humanity has believed in since the beginning of time? But, times have changed. Heroes perish, and maybe, legends can die. We will see how this turns out for humanity and its so called heroes." "They will stop you." "It's surprising how much confidence you put into your little group of friends. We will just see how things turn out in the end Trestin." Just a few hours ago, it had been a perfectly normal day for Trestin. He was at school in his Applied Technology class when the things started getting downright weird. "What the hell is going on with my computer?" One student asked. "Mine is acting on its own!" another student said. " I knew this would happen! I had a premonition yesterday when I dropped my toast face down!" "Will of you baboons shut up for one second so I can think!" shouted Mr. Burke, the technology teacher. "If you be quiet, I can sort things out." The class went silent. "So, what seems to be the problem with the computers?" "Come take a look for yourself!" Trestin suggested to Mr. Burke. He walked over to Trestin's computer and gawked at the screen. He had seen computers do stupid things in his 15 years of teaching, but this was something else. The computer was breaking down its code, by itself. The computers were destroying themselves. Mr. Burke frantically pushed the power button, desperately trying to save the computer, but nothing happened. Then all of a sudden, a student's hand reached over and turned the computer off. It was no other than Corey Diez, one of Trestin's best friends. "How did you-?" "Mr. Burke, I will have you know that pressing a button over and over wasn't ever going to do anything. Hold the power next time." Everyone held their computer power buttons down and powered down their computers. Corey looked over to Trestin's computer and asked curiously asked, "Was their something on the USB drive you put into the computer?" Trestin stared at his USB drive, puzzled. "No, I checked it this morning. It was perfectly clean. Your the one who borrowed my USB so, did you put any crap on it?" "Hell no!" Corey exclaimed. "Calm down you two, it was just a little virus." Mr. Burke lied. "It has something to with the USB, so, Trestin I will have to confiscate your drive until we figure out what was causing the problem. "But, all the other computers had it to! The only person who didn't have it was Corey!" "That's because he forgot his USB at home. As for everyone else, leave your drives in the classroom and I will check them out after school." "Yes Mr. Burke." The class groaned. As second period ended, everyone left their USB drives on the back tables for Mr. Burke. Trestin was just about to head towards third period when he saw something strange, fitting with the day's tone. Corey was searching through the pile and looking for something. "What are you doing?" Trestin asked Corey. Corey jumped, surprised at Trestin's sudden question and turned to look at Trestin. "I left my sandwich on the back table, and I have lunch after Spanish. I was looking for it, but apparently thats a crime against humanity. Who cares, I can buy another." Corey left the classroom, leaving Trestin alone with Mr. Burke. Corey was a very blunt liar, and was never good at it anyway. "When will we get our USBs back again Mr. Burke?" Trestin asked. "You will get your's back tomorrow morning." "One more question Mr. Burke." "Yes Trestin?" "When does your shift end."
