I smiled at mum and managed to slide out of the hug. I got up and waved at mum and walked out into the kitchen. I could hear her changing the channels only half the sound of the movie was heard before she changed it. I got on my tiptoes and opened the cupboard. I felt around for a breakfast bar. I felt one and grabbed it and opened it. I took a bite and nodded to myself. I walked to the front door taking another bite. I looked at my feet "shoes!" I said to myself "what did you say darling?" Mum asked "nothing mum!" I replied. I got my shoes from the side and slipped them on. They where bright pink slip on flats. They where only a tiny bit scuffed. I opened the door "bye mum!" I shouted. Mum peeked round the corner of the living room door and waved "see ya later beaver" she laughed. I walked out the door and shut it behind me. I checked my phone was in my pocket and felt my hair. "God!" I shouted my hair was a complete mess! I got a toggle off of my wrist and began doing my hair whilst I walked down the street. I put my hair in a high pony tail. My arms resumed their normal position by my side. I took the last bite of the breakfast bar and ran to one of the nearest park bins to put the rubbish away. People stared at me when they saw me. They murmured to the people next to them whilst staring at me. But this was one of the Things I knew I had to grow up with. I said again and again in my head "they're just jealous they're just jealous" my mother used to say they where just jealous of my appearance. She always makes me laugh.
