"Marinette! Why are you late?! It's the first day of school and you're already have a tardy!"

Ugh. I completely forgot about first period. I don't have any excuse either, not like they would have believed me any way. Talk about bad luck.

" I was just - ", I would have continued making up some lame excuse, but the same low voice interrupts me. I look over to see Hinata stand up, getting everyone's attention.

" She was just showing me the way to the girls restroom. "

The teacher looks a bit confused. She continues.

"I was lost and I needed some guidance. She offered to show me the way. I left before she had came her stall instead of waiting for her .
Please forgive me, it was my fault for her tardiness. "

She bows her head towards the teacher. The teacher looks a bit flustered and embarrassed. In shock I would say, but I am too. I have no idea why this girl would stick up for me.

I look down at Adrien , a small smile placed in his face. But everyone else in the classroom is in utter confusion.

"V-very well then, let's begin."

The rest of class was a blur. Since it was the first day , nothing important was said. Sooner than I imagined, it was already time for lunch.

I walked close to Alya. Again I would only be sitting with her this year for lunch . I get along with pretty much everyone in my class, but I've never really connected with any one but Alya.

Me and Alya take a seat on a bleacher in the gym. Not far from us is Adrien and that girl, Hinata .

They appear to just have entered the gym. So they haven't decided where to sit yet.

I can't help but stare at them. A pang of jealousy runs through me as I look at them. I try to ignore it, but it just grows stronger.

I notice Chloe walk closer and closer to them. Chloe's face brightens up as she sees Hinata. She gives her a hug and then wraps her arm around her's.

Now this was strange. I've never ever seen Chloe get all " buddy buddy " with anybody but Adrien. Not even Sabrina has gotten that kind of attention from Chloe. Something doesn't feel right... This new girl just appears out of nowhere and somehow already manages to get the attention of probably the 2 most popular people at are school.

I get up to go throw my trash away, as I head to the trash can I accidentally drop my fork. Slowly I bend down to pick it up. Chloe , Adrien , and the new girl are not that far from me. I don't mean to sound nosy, but I really want to hear what they're talking about. I mean none of this makes sense , but perhaps if I were to accidentally "over hear" something, I might be able to connect the dots.

Chloe's perky voice is the first I pick up and actually hear what she says, " Wow Hina ! I can't believe you actually transferred to our school!"

Hinata gives a small smile towards Chloe.

" My father thought it would be best if I were to get accustomed to my future city if I were to live here while I'm still in my prime."

"Yea, she's staying at my place for a while.", Adrien speaks up. I feel my heart slightly drop a bit as I hear this.

They're closer than I thought...

But the strange thing was, Chloe's face showed no sign of distress... I know that Chloe has a huge crush on Adrien, and yet the thought of this girl staying at the same house of him.. Didn't faze her. In fact she still had a genuine smile prowled onto her nude lips.

" Well this calls for festivity !! As your BFF Hina, I must throw you a welcoming party!!", Chloe's voice grows loader until everyone in the gymnasium turns her way.

"Listen up everyone, I'm throwing a huge welcoming party for my BFF Hinata.". Chloe wraps her hand around her. A thought comes across my head , where in the world is Sabrina ??

I look around the gym and finally in a corner , I spot her. The most hurt and full of disbelief face was plastered onto hers. Which actually makes me feel bad, but not really. I told Sabrina once that Chloe was just using her, and yet she still crawled back to her.

"I will hold the party at my daddy's hotel . The theme is dress to impress ," her face darkens and a sly smirk finds its way to her face. " and trust me, you'll want to impress.."
