Flashing Lights- Chpt. 1

Red, blue and white lights streaked across the sidewalk, drops of rain puddled and surrounded me...
And Her.
My paws clenched the small body in my arms, my breathing harsh against the winter air. I heard people's echoing screams. Blood began pulling into my lap as the body began to shake and snug its way into my shaking arms. My tears landed on her grey head," Wake up." I whispered quietly, for only her to hear. She wheezed and her eyes squinted, looking at me. Two leopards raced toward me with a slight jog, one of them yelled," Get the board!" I didnt bother to look up, my eyes focused on my love.
Judy....
A yank pulled Judy and she gasped in pain. " Stop it!" I wailed as they took her onto a small white bed and carried her away into a truck. I stared at my paws, Judy's bright blood on my paws, I looked around... traces of blood was around me. My tears blending in with the rain as the dashed down my cheeks. I stood up and looked into the alley.
My eyes widened. ( This is about to be a Flash Back )
The lion paced toward me, his long, blood sheding claws launching toward me. Suddenly, a blue and black shape jumped infront of me... and tazed the giant creature. It tumbled ontop of her, and regained its strength and clawed her stomach feriously. I jumped on the lion and sunk my teeth and claws into its neck, once it lost the fight and collapsed. I raced over to Judy, my partner and bent down to turn her onto her back side, only to revael more pain.
Her stomach was torn and blood pooled around her.
" Why did you do that? I would've fine!" I whispered, as I shook, putting my paws on her wound, eagerly trying to stop the blood. " Because...," their was a long pause before she replied," ...because I love you." Her words sank into my head, though she had said them a thousand times, felt like she said them for the first time. Tears trickled down my cheek," I love you more..." I rested my head onto her forehead, craddling her tightly, as the police cars raced to our attention.
( Flash Back is over) I squinted, I put my hands infront of my eyes, a bigger animal came toward me, holding one arm with his other to hold and injury. But also held a flashlight," Nicholas... Wild," said the voice. I looked up and went sideways to try to avoid the light, but it chased me. " I saw Judy Hopps, she'll be fine, we, promise."
Who was this we?
" Its me Nick, Officer Bogo." He gruffed stepping forward, his voice softend,"We have to go,we are meeting Judy at the hospital."
