Chapter 6

You sat on the wet grass, looking down at the small town below. The rain began to cease. A cool breeze picked up, caressing your [H/L] [H/C] hair, sending a shiver down your spine. The red haired male suddenly sat down beside you, his hair hung loosely, sticking to his neck. You glanced at him, all emotions vanishing from you - except one, relief. Your gaze returned to the town and the rain finally stopped. He laid down on the grass, his gaze on you.

"[Y/N]" He said sweetly

"Hm?"

"You're beautiful"

You looked at him, shocked, your [S/C] cheeks quickly turned a bright shade of crimson. He continued to gaze at you, a small smirk on his lips. The sky faded to a beautiful orange. He sat up, his hands behind him, holding himself up, his beautiful green eyes full of emotion as he stared peacefully at the sunset. You glanced at him from the corner of your eye. He was caressed in a red hue, his muscles flexing under his shirt. God he was handsome. Your heart began to race, and quickly returned to the sun setting on the horizon.

"Bet you don't know why the sun sets red" He grinned, turning his attention to you

"Because, out of all the colors, red travels the farthest" You said together, you laughed  and looked at him. You felt captivated by the way he looked at you.

"Remember when I first showed you this spot?"

"Yeah, the sun was already beginning to set and I got so excited I tripped over my own feet." You laughed at how clumsy you were, your cheeks burning red from embarrassment.

"Thought it was cute" He smirked playfully

"How is me falling on my face, cute?"

He chuckled remembering and stood up, his eyes straight ahead.  He stayed silent a moment, watching the sun fade.

"Red skies at night, sailors delight" You mumbled

"What?" He asked,  confused, his gaze turning to you

"Tomorrow is gonna be a nice day" You giggled at the thought of how silly that could of sounded

He smirked and handed you his hand. You looked at him confused, he smiled sweetly at you. You smiled back and took his hand. He pulled you up and handed you a bouquet of beautiful bright red roses. Your eyes grew wide, the wonderful smell of roses filled your nostrils. You couldn't help but smile more. You accepted the roses holding them close to you. He stood there a moment, admiring you. Oblivious to his stare, you smelled the roses and smiled peacefully. A strand of [H/C] fell to your face as you deeply admired the the flowers he had given you. His gaze growing softer, he gently moved the rogue stand and tucked it behind your ear.

His fingers traced your cheek softly, caressing it. Your heart was pounding in your chest and your cheeks turning a dark crimson. One of his hands crepped around your waist, pulling you closer. You put an arm behind you, holding onto the bouquet. He gazed deeply into your eyes, filled with love, his grasp on you grew tighter. He held your chin in his hand. The orange and red of the  fading sun danced around the both of you. His lips locked onto yours, a sweet, passionate kiss. You wrapped your arms around his neck instinctively, deepening the kiss. He smirked and brought you closer, his heart raced with yours, his emotions and yours poured into the embrace and the soft kiss you shared.

The sun had finally set, a sheet of bright stars hung in the sky. You separated for a moment and gazed at each other. You glanced down, cheeks burning red, a beautiful bright smile on your face. He smiled down at you as he rested his forehead against yours. You both sighed contentedly. You sat down in the grass once more. He sat beside you, arm firmly around your waist. You smiled and rested your head on his shoulder, staring at the now lit up town.
