I'm worried as heck. First day of high school as a senior. You know how hard that is? It's a lot of pressure, let me tell you. I walk to the campus, amazed by every site I see, except the people of course. I walk into the building, reading the e-mail the school sent. I have to go to the office, and then ask for all the information. I go into the office, after looking around for it for about 3-5 minutes. Is that who I think it is? "Dylan?" I yell, looking at a tall figure waiting in the office chairs. He looks over at me, and for a split second, I'm sure I just yelled to a stranger, when I see his eyes. I will always remember his eyes.
"Layna? Is that you?" he asks, looking at me. As he sees it really is me, his eyes light up, facial expression turning from mad to relieved. "I didn't know this was where you enrolled? Youlre lucky you know someone here, because trust me, it's crazy being alone. You would have been alone for forever. Whole year," Dylan explains, his gorgeous smile and beautiful eyes staring at me with a look no one has ever given me. I realize I am just staring at him dreamily, and stutter.
"Uhm...yea! My grandma saw this place, and thought it was a great place! I...didn't know yu would be here! That's great that I know you are her to depend on," I saw nervously, hoping I didn't totally embarrass myself. He chuckles a little, looking deep into my eyes. He walks a little closer and opens his mouth to speak, when a fancy dressed woman comes in with thin glasses and a blonde bun in.
" Dylan? Should you be sitting right now, thinking about your choices you have made? Hm?" she asks, staring with hatred at Dylan. Is he a bad boy, or what? She looks over at me. "Layna, I'm assuming? Come with me and let's get everything situated and find a good tour guide to walk you to your classes." She motions me away into the other room. I follow glancing back at Dylan, seeing his face of hatred following the woman.
" I'm Mrs. Ganfrey, the principle. So, I have your schedule right here and all your books and binders along with your locker combonation and number. I also have a map of the whole school, first page first floor, second page second floor. It's simple, really. Your scores were smart, especially human body stuff. I'm actually a little bit impressed. It is almost like you dissect them for a living or when your bored. How weird and illegal would that be? Hahaha!" She tells me, handing me 2 papers and a packet of 2 papers with books and binders.
"...uh yea! So...weird and crazy! Heh heh heh..." I respond, nervous about what she said. I came here to start anew, not have anyone make my problem worse! I hope I can forget all the past and focus on the future. I grab the papers and shakes her hand. She tells me to go and asks who I want to tour me. "Dylan, maybe? We are good friends..." I reply, nervous about she will say. She agrees after a bit of considering. I walk out with her following my tail and tell Dylan about the tour. He pleasantly agrees and we leave together.
Today will probably be a very good day. I mean, what could go wrong?
