chapter one pilot

Third pov-

"Yo, Luce let's go on another mission?" Natsu questioned swinging his arm around Lucy's neck in the guild hall. Lucy let out a small sigh and picked at the cake she had sitting in front of her. "Aye!!" Happy beamed with joy as he sat on the counter giving Lucy the paper. Swiftly she grabbed the paper from Happy.

Furrowing her eyebrows she set the paper gently down. "So... What do you think?" Natsu asked quietly. Lucy shook her head slowly and pulled his arm off of her as she stood up quickly. "Aahh, come on Lucy the job can't be that hard" Natsu pouted. Lucy squinted her eye at him. "Listen Natsu." She adjusted herself so her whole body was facing him. "We just got back from a mission yesterday night. I'm tired still. If you want us to go on a mission please pick one out that doesn't involve hunting down mystery monsters please." Lucy proclaimed. Natsu scoffed then looked down at her, eyeing her down.

Leaning close to her face they both blushed madly. "N-natsu what are you do-oing?" Lucy stuttered flustered. Leaning even closer, Natsu looked down at Lucy's lips then took a step away from her waving the paper in her face. Lucy's face went bright red for thinking that Natsu would want to kiss her.

"You like hiiiiimmm" Happy teased Lucy. "Shut up stupid cat!" Lucy yelled smacking happy. "I guess we'll have to go on a different mission" Natsu whined and Lucy nodded her head smirking. "Natsu" Erza's stern voice boomed behind him making him jump. Looking over at Erza, Lucy smiled at her.

"Are you guys going on a mission?" Erza growled. Natsu handed her the paper then folded his arms over his toned chest. Nodding Erza handed it back to him. "Let's leave tonight" she smiled. Leaning half her weight on the counter Lucy frowned.

"You guys can't forget me!" Gray yelled running over to them. Lucy started to make whining noises but no one seemed to notice her discomfort. "You'll definitely need Wendy's and I help" Carla said walking over to them with Wendy following behind her.

Lucy frowned then quickly ate the rest of her cake and quickly made her way out of the guild hall, wanting to get sleep. She wasn't planning on going with them anyways. She was still tired from the other job her and Natsu went on.

After getting Mira's approval team Natsu were getting ready to pack their things till they noticed Lucy wasn't with them anymore. Rubbing his chin Natsu sniffed the air. "What is wrong with Lucy? She seemed pretty annoyed?" Gray asked leaning on Natsu's shoulder. Natsu shrugged then looked over to happy for help. "She said she was still tired and stuff like that" happy stated. "Well let's go get her!" Natsu yelled running out the hall.

Lucy trudged down the streets a few feet behind her teammates. She felt better since Wendy healed her a bit. Dreading the train ride she would have to take on an uneasy stomach she let a shaky sigh. Natsu noticing Lucy's abnormal activity took a quick glance behind him checking in on her and noticed the distant look in his eyes. Facing forward he nudged Gray on his rib quickly catching his attention.

"What?!" Gray asked with obvious annoyance laced through out his pronunciation of his words at the moment. "Yo, don't you think something is up with Lucy?" He asked whispering incase Lucy heard their conversation. Gray cocked his head to the side giving him a confused look. "Like she's not being all annoying and bossy" Natsu whispered yelled. Gray frowned then slowly looked behind him. In a hurry he looked away before he catches her attention.

Natsu stopped walking waiting for Lucy to catch up to him. Hopelessly he looked down at her blonde locks. "Lucy..." Her head snapped up to the sound of his voice. He gave her a reassuring smile before continuing. "Are you okay?" He asked bluntly. Her eye widened before she let out a low nervous chuckle. "Y-Yeah. I'm fine. Why did you ask?" Natsu glared at her but she kept walking like she didn't notice even though feel down she knew she wanted to talk to him.

He grabbed her shoulder roughly stopping her in her tracks. "Tell me." He sternly commanded. She looked up at him then down to her friends who were still walking away from them. "Okay you know what?" She pulled his hand off of her. Looking a little shocked his mouth fell open a little. "Okay. It's just that. It's... I don't know something doesn't feel right about this mission." She whispered the last part. He glared down at her.

"Seriously Lucy??" He growled at her making her frown. She thought she could talk to him. "You and your stupid hunches!" He shouted. Her eyebrows knitted together. She raised her hand and slapped him harshly across the face then ran over to her friends leaving a shocked Natsu behind.
