Simon is currently walking up to me with a saddle rug, cautious not to spook me; it actually makes me a bit nervous when they do that. Instead of wasting his time, I just walk up to him and turn around so that my back is facing him.
"Who's a smart girl. I bet White Knight told you to do that" Simon states as he looks at Knight. Not quite, but okay. To have a little fun, I let him put the rug on my back, than I would walk away, bite it and pull it off. Then I would walk up to him and give the rug back; I do this about five times before I notice Simon getting awfully sick of it; oops. Obviously I got the idea from a movie that I had watched when I was younger. Oh what was it called? Spirit! That's it; I was obsessed with that movie as a human. Maybe one day I will be able to watch it again.
"What are you doing Sonyadore?" Knight asks confused.
"I'm bored from being cooped up in my stall, so I thought I would have some fun" I state matter-of-factly.
"Fare enough" he laughs back.
"He seems a little fed up of me now, I'll stop it for him" I tell Knight.
"Tell him that" he replies, as he looks at Simon. He's sighing, and rubbing his forehead with his left hand. Geez, I'm not that naughty, am I?
I walk up to Simon, and rub my nuzzle against his hand that's rubbing his head. He peeps at me through his fingers, than laughs while he pats my neck.
"What am I going to do with you?" he smiles kindly.
"I'm going to try this one more time Natarlia, okay?" he adds.
"Natarlia?" I ask out loud. Why is he calling me Natarlia? Wait, did he just name me?
"Looks like you got yourself a name" Knight states casually.
"Do you like it?" Knight asks.
"Uh, yeah I suppose it's not too bad" I say, earning a slight laugh from Knight.
"Well that's okay then" he replies happily. Then I think of something.
"Hey Knight?" I ask.
"Yeah" he asks cautiously.
"What was your name before you came here?"
"Tyran" (Tie-run) He states proudly.
"Wow, that's a really nice name. Would you like me to call you Tyran from now on?" I ask, I would rather be called my true name than what these people give me. Otherwise they would have now stolen my identity.
"Sorry Sonyadore, but no. The last person that called me that was my mother" he tells me politely.
"Oh, I'm sorry Knight" I quickly say.
"No need to apologize Sun" he replies. Sun? I've never been called sun before, I kinda like it. Even though, it should probably really be pronounced Son not Sun. Oh well, it's nice anyways. He must miss his mother an awful lot. I have been without mine for our years, so understand what's it like. Maybe one day I will let it all out, and tell him what happened. First, I have to tell him who I truly am, it's not fair to him to be lied too.
I turn my attention back to Simon, who is contently watching me. "You like your name girl, Natarlia? It was the boss's idea" Simon says casually. Who is the boss?
Simon slowly puts the rug on my back once again, and I stay perfectly still this time for him. "Good girl Natarlia" Simon praises.
He then goes and gets the western saddle from the side's wooden railing, and slowly sits it on my back. I yet again stay perfectly still. If I get this over and done with, maybe I'll be able to get let out in one of the paddocks. I haven't been able to run for too long. I look out, over some of the fields, and look with envy at the other horses that contently graze together on them.
