THE NEW GIRL

Have you ever wondered what it would feel like if your entire world changed? What if you were not the person you thought you were? These questions come to my mind every day, and I didn't realize that I would regret them until it was to late. This is my story.

My name is Samantha Morgan, I am a 17 year old, living in the small town of Leicester, North Carolina. It's a small town, but it was home.

When I was 16 my entire world shifted. It broke into a million tiny pieces, but I won't start at that part, lets start from the Beginning.

It was a warm summer day, the wind was whistling, the grass freshly cut, the breeze nice and cool. Everything seemed to be perfectly fine. Until....

"SAMANTHA WAKE UP YOUR GOING TO BE LATE FOR SCHOOL!" My mother called after me. I turned to look at the clock, shoot I had slept in to late. Nothing was worse than being late on your first day of a new school year. My family had just moved here from Louisville, Kentucky. My Dad had a job transfer, so that meant, pack up everything again and begin a new life. Hurray. We have been here for two weeks and no sign of any people my age, everyone was either 10 years old or younger. At least my little brother Mark would not be lonely.

I rushed over to my nightstand, to grab an outfit that would look nice on the first day. No one could possibly be as nervous as I was right that moment. You would think that after changing schools every 2 years I would be used to all the questions and comments, but it somehow did not work that way for me. I went back over and laid my clothes on my bed and sat down beside them looking around my new room for the thousandth time.

It was a pretty big room considering we lived in a trailer, but it was nice and comfortable. My walls we painted pink from the last family that lived here. My dad said that as soon as we get everything settled I could paint it whatever color I wanted, that made me happy. My dresser was in the corner of the room in front of my bed. My desk was sitting in front of my window that looked out towards a nice view of the mountains and sky. My bed sat in the middle of the wall closest to the door, and my closet was right beside my bed. Everything fit in a nice little area, and was well organized.

I looked at the clock again and it had already been 5 minutes and I hadn't even noticed. I grabbed my clothes and put them on. I went to my bathroom mirror and pulled my hair into a quick ponytail. I didn't even worry about make up today, I didn't have the time. I raced over to my Pocketbook and grabbed my keys. I looked at the clock again and it said 7:30! I still had to find the school, I needed to leave now. I raced down the hall and into the living room where my Momma sat eating breakfast. "Good Morning Honey, I hope you have a good first day." I heard her say as I raced out the door. "Thank you Momma, you too, I Love you!" I jumped into my car that I got for my sixteenth Birthday present and started the engine.

It was a 2000 Saturn LS Sedan. It was purple, but dark enough to where it looked black. I had worked hard on that car to get it cleaned and legal. I was proud of my car and was happy to show it off. I thought about the day I got it as I drove down the road to school.

After about 20 minutes of looking for the school, I finally found it. Kingslong High. I pulled into one of the parking spaces and turned my car off. I grabbed my purse and made sure I had everything I needed. Pencil, Check. Pen, Check. Notebook, Check. OK everything was there. I had an extra bag in the back seat for my new school books, when I get them. I open the door and all of a sudden this Hot pink Mustang Convertible wipes right into the parking spot right next to me, knocking me back into my seat. As I watched the blonde preppy get out of her car, she looked at me and smiled as if she didn't just about run me over, and walks away. Great, first day and I already have an enemy with the popular crowd.

I got out of my car and started walking towards the doors, when one of the students closes it in front of me. I look up and I shout, "Hey, can you let me in?" She laughs and opens it up. "You must be new, the doors are always supposed to close right at 8 O-clock. My name is Lily, what's yours?" she finished. Man she's a talker. "I'm Samantha, and thank you for opening the door back up. Can you show me where the principles office is please." I asked her. She nodded and pointed me in the way I needed to go. She told me if I needed anything to just ask. I told her I would and we parted ways.

I walked down the hallway towards the principles office, and opened the door. When I walked inside I did not expect to see what I saw. I walked over to one of the chairs in the corner of the room, to wait for my name to be called. I sat there for about 10 minutes, before someone walked out of the door, I stood up, and in front of me stood the most handsomest Hazel eyes I had ever seen. I knew then and there that I officially have my first High school Crush.
