Chapter three
“We don’t have to say forever. I’m cool with whatever. Whatever is cool with you. We can just sit here at night, just two strangers in the night, ain’t that what we’re supposed to do?”
-Boys like Girls “Hey You”
Having Harry back was like an indescribable feeling. I didn’t trust myself to not ruin this like the last time. He wanted to give me everything. But, me being the over thinker, ran away from him. He didn’t even get an explanation as to why I had left. But I was just scared that I wasn’t good enough for him. Sure I was pretty and whatnot. But that didn’t hide the fact that I was scared of the unknown and had my past haunting me.
So many scenarios ran through my head. And that just gave me more anxiety. Everything in my head started closing in. That’s when I realized that I couldn’t give him what he wanted. I was scared. So I ran away from the only guy that ever loved me.
But not this time. Thinking to myself, I came to realization that I needed him just as much as he needed me. I was not going to be afraid of giving my all. Because I knew Harry deserved this. And much more. Thinking about the events that happened a few weeks ago, I can’t help but feel good about the future. Considering that we have a lot of work to do. Mostly from my part. But work none the less.
As the doorbell rang obnoxiously, I got up from my comfortable bed. As this was my day off this week, I didn’t want anybody bothering me. But as soon as the door opened, everything that I was complaining about vanished.
“Hey babe. I was just stopping by to see how you were doing.” Harry said to happily for ten a.m.
“Oh well, you know. Nothing as usual. Living the life here.” I responded sarcastically. While he made himself comfortable on my couch, I simply rolled my eyes at the fact that he just let himself in.
As I sat next to him, I couldn’t stop starring at his playful smile lingering on his lips. “So, Mr. Styles, what brings you to my humble home?” I asked in the best posh accent I could manage. He laughed lightly while looking at me. “Well, Ms. Lennox, as you may know, I like to keep up with what’s mine. So I came by to see if my lovely girlfriend wanted to go out today.”
I couldn’t stop smiling. The way his eyes glowed as he talked to me truly made me thing that he wanted to spend his only day off with boring old me. But as much to our disappointment, I had no intentions of leaving my flat.
“Sorry babe, but I was actually going to spend my day in. So I don’t think I would be much of good company.” I watched as his hands reached for my own. Looking into my eyes he spoke.
“I would rather do nothing with you than spend my day with the Queen herself.” I giggled at his statement. But something in his eyes told me he wasn’t kidding. I kissed him tenderly on his lips. “Thanks Harry.”
With that, he took his shoes off and cuddled with me on the couch. A few minutes later, I heard him lightly snoring on my shoulder. Good thing he fell asleep, because it was still early for me and I was dying to take a little nap. Call me lazy or whatever. But it was my day off and I intended to rest and be lazy as long as I could.
I was shaken awake in a very eager push. Slowly opening my eyes, my lips released a very un human scream. In front of me was Harry standing too close for comfort. Literally like centimeters away from my face.
“Cassy, wake up, I’m starving. And you have some pancake mix. Do you mind making some for your loving boy-.”
“If you were in the kitchen, trying to make something to eat, why did you wake me up when you clearly were already there?” I cut him off a little pissed he disturbed my nap.
