“I hate you” I yelled at the top of my lungs. “How could you do this to me”! I ran out of the living room heading towards my bedroom. Once inside I grabbed my door and slammed it hard. My father jerked the door open and walked towards me pointing his finger in my face.
“Don’t you ever slam a door in my house” His nostrils were flaring in anger. I stepped closer to him no longer afraid of what he could do to me.
“Well, since your cheating ass will no longer live in this house then I can slam as many doors as I want to!” I yelled into his face. Before I could react my father slapped me. My head jerked to the side and I stumbled. I heard my mother gasp and I straightened to my 5’ 7” height. My mom ran over to me and grabbed my shoulders. I could taste blood and my lip throbbed. I yanked myself out of my mom’s hands and walked around her. My father tried to stop me from leaving the room but I slapped his hands away.
“Don’t touch me”. I walked down the hallway with my father close behind.
“I’m sorry Devin… please stop…just listen…you don’t know the whole story.” I could hear the regret in my father’s voice but I didn’t care. He was a cheating bastard that hit woman. I grabbed my car keys from the hook and ran out of the house towards my car.
