Me, Dad and the crew were on our way to Neverland. We'd heard stories that a terrible villain ruled the island, but Dad had decided it was worth the risk in return for eternal youth. I had of course tried to talk him out of it, but besides the fact he was a stubborn pirate, he was a stubborn father as well.

I tried especially hard not to go when when I found out what it would cost me.

"What?!" I growled.

"No girl has ever stepped foot on Neverland, so you have to dress as a boy?" Dad mumbled the last part in a high voice, as if terrified of what my reaction would be.

He should be.

I growled loudly and began punching the mast of the ship. It already had many dents in it from my reactions to some other surprises from dad. After a while I stopped feeling the pain and it became my immediate go to if there wasn't a drunkard on the ship I could beat up. And strangely the crew was unnaturally sober at the moment.

After I given my share of punches I turned back to my father.

"Fine. But I do it my way."

"Excellent!" He said, I'm sure he was just happy I hadn't killed one of the crew. "We set sail in an hour, so be ready."

I nodded and went back to my room. I slammed the door behind me as I sat down, I really wasn't all to happy about having to pretend to be a male. But oh well.

I sighed and took off my thigh high boots, then my corset, then my shirt.

Let's see, time for the painful part. I thought begrudgingly.

I took out a long scarf from my closet and began wrapping it around my chest. Thankfully, I wasn't all that busty so it could have been more painful.

Then I took out a baggy brown shirt and threw it on. I pulled on some typical male boots and looked in the mirror. I looked like a scrawny cabin boy.

Well except for the face and hair.

I sighed and got a bandana off my dresser. I put it in a high pony tail, braided it, turned it into a bun, and covered my head in the bandana. I topped it off with a pirates hat.

I supposed there was nothing more I could do for my appearance, and chose to work on my voice next. I couldn't pull off a convincing deep voice, so instead I made it quiet and scratchy, almost like my morning voice but still deeper.

When I was satisfied, I walked up to the deck in a boyish manner, and went up to my father.

"We about to leave captain?" I asked.

He turned in shock, he looked me up and down. "Well, you sure know how to make a costume change. And yes, we were waiting on you."

"Then let's, go to Neverland."

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

That night, we stepped on the beaches of Neverland. Dad had decided it was best to ask the notorious villain who ruled the island before anything else. Of course, it made sense to get on this guy's good side. We had agreed to call me Kris instead of Kristina.

But it didn't go excellent, in fact it couldn't have gone worse, because that night, my life changed.

When we stepped into the beach of the villain's isle, we were surrounded by cloaked figures with poised weapons. From the way the were held, I could tell these strangers knew what they were doing. In response to this, all of my group pulled out swords and weapons as well.
