The Littleton's secret

Chapter 1 The visit

The door bell rigns. Grace goes for it. She passes the big and luxurious hall before opening the door. Who she sees amzed her. It is the Matthews. Jennifer, Ian, Juliet and Mathilda.

-    Hello Mr and Mrs Matthews! Grace says.
-    Hey Grace!

Grace is the cleaning lady. Even if everyone thinks cleaning ladies are suffering because of their « master » that take them as animals, they all really like her. She has a big room, she is well paid and well feed. She likes her job. She is the cliché of the cleaning lady. Because her hair are red, not long, she is dressed like a real cleaning lady.

The Matthews are related to the Littleton's because Jennifer used to be a Littleton. Before she married Ian, that beautiful 38 year old man with his beautiful piercing light blue eyes that everyone loves. It is not surprising that Jennifer married him. They got children, Juliet first, 16 years ago. She is a tall teen with curly blond hair. She has the eyes of her father but the face of her mom. A perfect face. She is so kind and autonomous that everybody says that she is already an adult. For Mathilda, she is 13 years old, the youngest of the family. She has brown hair and eyes, and the opposite of Juliet. She has the face of her father and the eyes of her mother. She is not tall, 5' and 2". She is more reserved than the rest of them but she is a great person. Like everybody in that big mansion.

-    Happy new year 1974!
-    Thanks Grace! Even if we are in July we didn't even say happy new year since September 1972.
-    Hey you all! Screams Becky from the staircase.
-    Hello Becky! Are you alright? Asks Ian.
-    No.. YES!!!! I mean yes I'm just a little bit tired.
-    Ok.

After all the hello and the hugs, the Matthews went upstairs to unpack their stuff because they are staying for 6 months. Christopher, who is the happiest person in the world right now, shows where Mathilda and Juliet are going to sleep. A beautiful and big room with 2 beds and 2 desks for each one. It is a light blue room, like the sky of a perfect day of summer. Like this day. After that, the adults goes in the dining room, talking and drinking wine. Scarlett is a passionate of wine. She has a red wine from 1955 that is apparently, perfect. While the adults are talking, the 4 kids goes outside beside the pool to talk about everything.

- Becky are you OK? Asks Juliet.
- Yes why?
- Your eyes are red. It looks like you cried.
- It is because she took some cocaine. Says her brother.

Becky friendly punches Christopher on the chest. And she explains that she is just tired. After, they talk about everything and school and summer vacation.

- Isn't it Quinton's birthday? Asks Mathilda.
- Yeah, he will come after dinner. Which is suppose to be right no....
- Dinner's ready. Says Jennifer from the back door.

They all take their plates and they serve themselves like in a buffet. Because it is one.

- I thought Quinton was coming. Says Scarlett.
- He had something with his family he will come after dinner.
