"Clark can you come down here for a second?" Called out his mother Clark was laying on his bed just looking up at the roof ,his family had just moved from a small town to the big city he wasn't really use to it "I'll be down in a second " he replied as he sat on the side of the bed and got up running downstairs to his mother
his mother Martha was waiting at the bottom of the stairs for him and smiled softly as she seen him coming around the corner "so how are you liking the new house?" she asked the young boy and he just shrugged lightly not giving a worded reply "well how about you go meet the neighbors and find some kids to play with?" Clark was rather anti-social so the idea of being around other kids wasn't really the best
Clark walked past his mother and outside,no other kids were insight besides one which was further down the street .He didn't really know what to do should he go say hi ?or leave the other alone?.he soon decided to just say hi and make a good first impression
He approached the other slowly and swallowed nervously as he was soon only a couple feet away from the other child "Hi" he said softly and then looked down nervously but then looked up when he heard a reply "Hey" the other child said soft and smiled at Clark and that made all of the nervousness go away "i'm Clark, Clark Kent" he reached his hand out the other and felt the grasp of the other's hand "and i'm Bruce,Bruce Wayne it's nice to meet you Clark " they both smiled at one another and then let go of each others hands .
Martha Clarks's mother soon came outside and saw the new friend her soon had made and watched as the 2 young boys got to know each other.
Once the handshake was finished Bruce had to break the ice "you must've just moved in?" Clark turned to look at his house and shook his head yes "so where did you come from?" Clark was hesitant to reply "I came from a place where there wasn't many people" Bruce had a confused expression as the other answered "oh,so it's gonna take sometime for you to get use to a lot of people i see " Clark shook his head yes sadly
"Bruce?" Called out a woman as she came out the house "it's time to come inside honey" it was his mother Bruce turned to her and then back to Clark "well it was nice to meet you Clark,hope to see you again" with a bright smile "likewise" Clark replied as Bruce ran to his mother and into the house
Clark walked slowly back home to his mother and into the house "mom,I think I just made a friend" he said slowly and looked up at her "I saw " she replied with a bright smile " and tomorrow you'll start your new school "
Clark's happiness went away when his mother had stated something about his new school "yay,I guess.."
He soon left his mother and went to his room to think and the only thing he could think about is all the things that could go wrong at his new school 'what if I don't make any friends?,what if I embarrass myself in front of everyone and become the school clown?' He though to himself as he let out a soft sigh "but what if Bruce is there ?,would that make things easier for me ?" He knew it was only just a thought but it made him happy to know that he had a new friend by his side
~time passed
Clark looked at himself in the bathroom mirror while brushing his teeth "i start school today" he repeated to himself softly his mother stood in the doorway and watched over him "you're not nervous right?" She asked the young male he shook his head no and finished brushing his teeth then moved on to combing his hair "just a little scared is all"
He combed his hair to where he had a Mohawk "you'll be fine " his mother said softly as she ruffled his hair messing it up
"MOM!" She laughed softly and left the bathroom going to the kitchen and started making his breakfast once Clark was finished in the bathroom he rushed downstairs to eat his breakfast quickly "hey,there's no need to rush we have plenty of time " Clark shook
his head "mom,it's my first day I always want to be early on the first day"
He went to go put his shoes on and his mom grabbed the keys while walking out to the car Clark followed close behind her
And hurried to get inside the car
It was about a 20 minute drive before they reached the school and Clark just looked out the window and took and deep breath"bye mom" he swung open the car door and hopped out his mom waved by and drove away
Clark looked around at all the groups of kids and could already tell that he didn't fit in "Clark?" Called out a young male he spun around to see who had called him and it was Bruce "Welcome to school" he said with a bright and radiant smile "thanks" said Clark nervously "I'm not really sure where I'll fit in at..." Clark shrugged "you'll fit in with us " Bruce stepped over and behind him was a group of 3 kids Bruce soon introduced them all
"This is Diana prince ,Alexander luthor, and Bart Allen"
Alexander huffed "yeah but I go by Lex, you can call me Lex
Luthor" he put a hand out to Clark and gave a strong handshake "its nice to meet you ,I'm Clark Kent" he replied
"Well that's enough with introductions let's show him around the school" Bart said while running away
They a followed him until they reached the corridor
Everyone helped with the tour by showing Clark rooms and explaining what they were used for the tour had ended at the cafeteria
"And that's our school"
Clark shrugged his shoulders slightly and then the bell rung "well that's our cue to get moving" they all said goodbye to Clark and headed off to their classes
Clark's first class was math ,the friends that he had made this morning weren't in his class so he knew nobody.
"Morning class" everyone turned to the open classroom door to see where the voice had come from,it came from Mr. Glenn the freshman math teacher.
"Morning Mr. Glenn!" everyone replied in a excited tone
