It was long night. The moon was high. The weather was cold. Not a single human outside. the team had just gotten back from a mission which turn out good. Everyone got back safely.
"good work guys" Robin told the team. Bart grins and nods, hugging Jaime's arm. The Hispanic smiles down at his cute boyfriend.
thry have been dating for 7 months. It was amazing.
"okay guys let's take it easy" Miss Martian told the guys as Superboy nodded. "Sounds easier then done" he told his girlfriend.
they have gotten back together after the reach was defeated.
Bart, Jaime and everyone was happy for them on that. The speedster now relaxes on the couch. "Finally crash" the blue beetle hero nods, relaxing with him. "Si very true"
then after some hours, Cassie walks in, looking for something. "Shit, where is it?" Zatanna looks at her. "What is it?" The wondergirl looks at the magician. "My rope I use in battle, I can't find it"
"I think it's outside" Nightwing said, pointing out outside. Jaime looks up and signs. "I'll go get it" Bart opens his eyes, lifts his head on his boyfriend's lap. "But blue, you're comfy" he whines as the other chuckles.
"it's okay carnino. I'll be back" Jaime got up and armors up. He flies outside and looks around. Then after 19 mins, he found it and got it.
then he heard a growl and turn, not fast to dodge a young man tackling him and bites his neck, blood on the ground.
Bart was worried. The Hispanic didn't come back yet. He got up. "I'm going to find blue" Beast Boy got up also. "I'll go too"
Nightwing nods, deciding to go with them. They search the ground for Jaime. After some minutes, Beast Boy screams and points.
Bart runs over and gap in horror, teary eyes.
Jaime was laying on the ground, had di-armored himself, his neck and half his cloth, bloody, barely alive.
"BLUE!!!" Bart runs over and helps his boyfriend up. Jaime groans in pain, still knocked out. Nightwing notice other blood and saw the attacker, dead after being shot with the other's sonic canon.
Beast Boy turns into a horse and Nightwing helps Jaime on. Bart watches in horror, scared that he won't make it.
they got back to the other's and Miss Martian and Zatanna work on Jaime.
Bart didn't relax. He was very worried. He was shaking. He just can see blood, his love's blood.
a hour later, Zatanna and Miss Martian walk in. The speedster rushes over. "How is he?" He asked, worried. The girls nod. "He's going to be okay. He suffer bloodloss but he'll be alright" Zatanna said but looks at Nightwing. "Where's the attacker's body?" The leader then shows the girls the attacker's body.
Miss Martian checks the body, finding nothing. Then she saw the mouth and gasp. "He has fangs" Zatanna notice and went wide eyed.
"what?" Nightwing asked. "He's a vampire and probably now turn Jaime into one" they rush back, needing to get there fast.
Bart was sitting by Jaime's side, holding his hand tightly. "I'm here Jaime"
he reaches and gently touch the bandages surrounding his love's neck. Jaime stirs in his sleep before he awoke with a groan. "B-Bart?"
Bart heard him and looks up at him. He got teary eyes, started crying and hugs him tightly. "Jaime! You're okay!" The Hispanic was confused but then he remember and hugs his love.
he reaches and hiss at touching his bandaged neck. "Shit, it burns" the other places his hand on the blue beetle hero's hand. "You'll be okay blue"
Jaime and Bart looks into each other's eyes, blushing. But then Jaime got a strong smell of sweet from Bart but a extreme urge for....blood.
the Hispanic quickly got up, earning a confused look from the other. The tall male went into the bathroom, panting. He looks at himself in the mirror. He gasp. He had fangs. He covers his mouth with his hands, frighten.
"It seems what attacked you turn you into what it is, a vampire" the scarab told him. He fell, shaking. He was so hungry. For blood.
the speedster watches and finally catches on. He saw the fangs. He knew. He frowns sadly. He blames himself.
the small male walks over and knelt down. He hugs his boyfriend close. "I'm sorry blue....." He held the Hispanic closer, crying softly. "I let you go alone"
Jaime went wide eyed shocked. He hugs him tight to him. "It's not your fault carnino" Bart hugs him close. They stay with each other hugging each other tightly.
then the hunger hit but more like a wave. Jaime pulls back and held his head, panting. It hurts. His chest was burning. He didn't want to hurt nobody.
Bart saw this and frowns. Then he removes his goggles and a bit of his outfit. He exposes his neck. He was willing to do anything to save his boyfriend.
"Jaime" Bart whispers out.
Jaime looks up and saw his love's expose neck.
then his eyes turn blood red and he hugs the small male close, biting his neck. He relaxes when blood ooze down his throat, calming himself.
the small male whimpers to the pain. But held the other close, blushing. He whispers in his ear. "Remember, no matter what, I love you and I will save you, no matter what you are, I love you" he held the Hispanic's head to his neck.
the tall male soon closes his eyes and removes his fangs when he felt full. "Sorry" he whispers out. The other cups his face, smiling warmly at him only.
"it's all crash dude. No worries, I am okay, not dizzy or anything"
Jaime kisses him deeply. He kisses him with such passion it made the other weak to his core. Bart kisses back the same, hugging him close.
they soon broke the kiss, their lips bloody from some blood still in the Hispanic's mouth.
Jaime grabs a towel and cleans up the blood from their mouths and bandages his boyfriend's neck. "Sorry again" Bart hugs him close. "It's okay, I mean it, I still feel the same. No changes" the other signs in relief. "Good"
"I will always love you and be with you Jaime" Bart said, caressing his face.
Jaime nods, holding his hand, nuzzling. "Thank you.....te amo carnino"
they stay to each other, meanwhile Zatanna Miss Martian and Nightwing heard everything and knew they will help him. It was solve with a kiss of blood from Jaime and Bart.
