In real life, Mr. Vijay Dinanath Chauhan, a clerk at a nationalized bank and the protagonist of this story, fluttered even at the sight of pigeons. At a tender age, he had been thrashed by a flock of pigeons while playing alone on the roof of his paternal grandfather's house in Indore. His grandma had massaged an herbal concoction in the open wound that had obscured the mark in a week, but could never obliterate the fear.
