I

Screams filled my surroundings, forcing me to open my eyes and stare into the overwhelming darkness.
A scraping noise sounded aloud from in the darkness, you know...the sound you get when you scrape a knife along a surface you shouldn't?
The scraping noise etched it's way towards until it stopped inches away from me.

A warm breath brushed past my neck, I soon realise it was the breath of somebody else, somebody who was keeping me captive here.

'Hello,darling...' whispered a eerily familiar voice

Fear shot right through me
Who is that person?
Why am I even here?
My mind flooded with questsions, too many that I cannot answer.

"Time to wake up darling..." the voice trailed off into what seemed like a never ending darkness.

My eyes opened once again, but this time it was to the surroundings of my room. Aqua walls decorated with shelves, some filled with books, some were filled with games and some movies.

I sat up and tried to recall what that dream? No, that... nightmare was about. A darkroom with no light at all and that voice ... that familiar voice
Why was it so familiar?

I ignored the event that has unfolded to try and get on with my day, showered, got dressed, met with some of my friends and we all headed to class together. I struggled to pay attention in Chemistry because that voice kept bugging me. Who was it?

Chemistry finished before I knew it, I got some notes from Sam just so I wasn't behind on anything.
Thankfully Sam doesn't daydream like me.

I passed through the rest of the day halfheartedly paying attention to any of my classes, which drew concern from Sam, where I told her it was nothing just 'lack of sleep' , I knew she didn't believe me but it had to do for now, until I understood what went on last night before I even try to explain and make myself sound like I belong in an asylum.

The walk home seemed like it never happened,I was exiting the door of my last class and now I'm home...
How did I even get home?

I ordered a Chinese because I was too 'out of it' to cook for myself. My chemistry notes lay splayed out on the floor in an attempt to study what I had missed out on ,but it only seemed like a lost cause. My thoughts kept wandering away from studies to other idle things which had no relevance to anything. Time seemed to pass by eventually.

10:37pm

Sleep seemed impossible, eyes wavering between being open and closed. My mind drifting in and out, constant tossing and turning for a sense of comfort. When I finally fell asleep I wish I hadn't

"Don't tell me you missed me" said a voice through laughter
