She hated mornings and always had, but Vanessa had no idea that this morning was the last normal morning she would have in a long while. Pushing her curtains back the sunrise light spilled into her room causing her to squint her eyes in annoyance. Regardless of how much she despised this time of the day she could never sleep through it due to her fathers obnoxious need to play music. No hope trying to sleep more she thought as the piano played some random classical song. Vanessa drug her feet as she walked to her extravagant vanity her mom had purchased at an antique store. She half laughed, extravagant was the best possible way to describe her mother.
"Focus V." She murmured and pulled her honey colored hair from its ponytail. Her schedule for the day, as she had to keep a schedule even during summer, consisted of the mall, lunch date with Sam, and then spa night at home. So she needed glam, and her schedule only allowed two hours for hair, makeup, and outfit. I got time she thought happy with herself.
She spent the next hour and a half burning her fingers with a curling iron and breathing in toxic hairspray fumes. When she checked on her clock her heart exploded. Only half an hour for makeup and outfit. Granted, Vanessa G. Peterson had the most hair on this planet so she should have anticipated the length of that process. She applied her makeup in a flash, satisfied with the look she ran to the closet. Once inside she pushed around in the countless amounts of dresses she had hanging and found the cute white dress she bought last week. She heard knocking on her door, angry confusion washed over her as she opened it.
"What do you nee-", she stopped mid sentence to see not the face of her brother but his best friend Jordan. "Oh I'm sorry, I thought you were Alex."
He laughed. "It's all good. Your mom was just wondering if you were going to eat breakfast with us." Jordan scanned her up and down. She was obviously going somewhere.
"Uh no. I gotta run. But would you mind helping me find the shoe that matches this one?" She lifted a white pump.
"Yeah, sure I guess." He laughed again as he was pulled into the closet with her.
"It should be in here." Vanessa opened the shoe section of her walk in.
"That is a lot of shoes." His mouth ajar as he stared.
She began digging to find the pump that was hidden among the uncountable amount of shoes. "I like shoes. Now help." Her tone was demanding.
After five minutes of looking she dropped onto a chair.
"I have to leave in two minutes." She said with dismay.
"Found it." He lifted the heel high with triumph.
She sprung up with joy, "Thank god. I will never lose you again." She grabbed the shoe and pulled it close
"I did get lost in there didn't I." He sent her a playful smirk.
"I got to run. You are a lifesaver." She pulled him in for a hug. Upon releasing him she slid on the shoes, grabbed her purse, and ran out the door.Vanessa had a magnificent body and she knew it. Nice sized breasts, firm butt, beautiful long legs, the works. Any man would have been lucky to get her. How ever she was taken by Sam Robinson, the high school varsity football quarterback. She sat across from him at there table while he observed his menu.
"I'm sorry I couldn't make it to the game last night, my parents had a dinner for my dads coworkers. Did you guys win?" She asked in a sweet tone.
He responded coldly, "The game was great."
His attitude took her back. "Is everything alright?"
Sam looked up at her, "Are you cheating on me?" His eyes turned back to his menu while he waited for response.
"What?" She asked in an annoyed voice. It was insulting for him to even accuse her. "Why would you even ask that?"
"I heard some talk, and I felt you had been distant recently." Sam continued to flip through the menu.
"I can assure you it's just rumors, I would never cheat on you." She reached over and stroked his arm as she spoke.
He looked up from the menu again, "Maybe we need to have some space."
Now confusion hit her, "Umm... Ok I guess if that's what you want. But I think I'm gonna go in that case." She stood up and not allowing him the satisfaction held her tears till she was in her Mini Cooper.
