"Lily!! Wake up. Wake up!!" Lily could hear the voice of her brother Fagen, but it sounded like it barely reached her, like she was under water. The most probable cause for this was that she had had such a strange dream. "Hurry up!" she heard Fagen say, "It is time for breakfast". Lily looked at the alarm clock on her right and was shocked to see that it was already five minutes to eight. She had overslept!! She jumped out of bed as fast as she could and started to grab her stuff. "You can calm down a little" Fagen said, "Mrs. Mullier has an appointment and she told us to wait for her. You've got ten more minutes than usually. Lily calmed down for a few seconds, but then she realised that this still mend that she needed to be downstairs, ready for breakfast, within a quarter of an hour. Obviously she didn't want to be late, as everyone knew that Mrs. Mullier wasn't kind to those who did. 'Why on earth did she sleep through her alarm clock? Normally she never did.' She ran towards the showers as fast as she could, while shouting to Fagen that he shouldn't wait for her. While showering, she tried not to make her hair wet. She would wash it again tomorrow, or in worst case scenario, tonight under the cold shower. When she was finally dressed, she sprinted downstairs and sat down with the others who were looking a bit surprised. Just in time, Mrs. Mullier walked into the room. "Good morning to you all". Lily looked up, astonished. Mrs. Mullier wishing them a good morning? At that moment she saw the woman standing behind Mrs. Mullier. "Well, this is professor Sapintia, and she will eat breakfast with us this morning". Lily looked startled at Fagen, who tried to nod as unnoticeable as possible. 'Was this professor Sapintia?' Of course Lily knew who professor Sapintia was, but she had imagined this moment very differently. She had dreamed about it since she was nine years old, when Fagen told her where he had been the entire year. He had told her that he had been to a very special school for children with a special talent, magic. Of course Lily had wanted to go to this school too. This wish had only become stronger when, a year and three days ago, Sam had also been granted a place to this special school. Would it finally be her turn now? She had counted down the days till professor Sapintia would be there to speak with her, but the professor was late three days. Both with Fagen as Sam she had visited the orphanage on the 5th of August. Today it was the 8th and Lily had been terribly afraid for those three days, that she wouldn't be allowed to go to Hogwarts, as the school was called.
After breakfast, everyone hurried back to the dormitories to tidy and clean them a bit before Mrs. Mullier would come and inspect them. There was one dormitory for the boys and one for the girls. For Lily it was strictly prohibited to enter the boys' dormitory. She had never even thought of doing it, as Mrs. Mullier was incredibly strict about it. Nevertheless Lily was strongly in doubt this time. She really needed to talk to her brothers. She didn't even know what to say to professor Sapintia. What if she wouldn't be allowed to go to Hogwarts? She had one short moment of doubt in front of the door, but decided to enter. She was in such a hurry, that she didn't even notice that she was being gaped at from all sides. "Lily, What are you doing here?" Sam asked. Now Fagen looked up too. "Lily?" He looked at her, clearly puzzled. "What is wrong?" "I..." Lily started, but at once she wasn't that sure anymore that this was such a good idea, "Never mind". She ran back to the exit, planning to quietly sneak back into the girls dormitory, but just when she was about to grasp the doorknob, it already turned. The door opened right in front of her and Mrs. Mullier came in while saying: "Are you finally..." Then she saw Lily. "What are you doing here?!" She grasped Lily by her ear and dragged her into the hallway. Lily was afraid that she was being dragged into the dungeons, a few of which were used for punishments. Everyone was scared to death to be thrown in there. It was horrible. They were freezing cold and during the winter there was always a layer of water at the bottom. Lily also assumed that there were rats, which immediately made her wonder whether rats were able to swim. Lily had been occupied with her own thoughts so much, that it took her a few seconds to realise that Mrs. Mullier was talking to her: "You are very, very lucky today, girl! I would have thrown you into the dungeons if it wasn't for our visitor." Lily gasped of relief and was doubting whether she should ask what would happen to her now, when she noticed that Mrs. Mullier had entered her private chambers, a place that Lily had never entered before. After what seemed quite a long time, they arrived at something that looked like an office, but quite unlike the one that Mrs. Mullier normally used. Professor Sapintia was already sitting in the room and looking at Lily curiously. She told her to take a seat and asked her if she wanted to drink something. Lily looked at Mrs. Mullier for a brief moment as she was wondering whether this was normal. What she saw surprised her even more. It looked like Mrs. Mullier was slighty afraid to say anything about the situation. After a few seconds she left, after casting one more look at Lily. It was a mixture of anger and fear.
Professor Sapintia returned with some tea and a box filled with different cookies. She offered them to Lily, but she wasn't hungry anymore despite her small breakfast. "Are you nervous?" the professor asked. Now that she mentioned it, Lily realised that she was and admitted, a bit ashamed, that she was quite nervous. "Well I asume that is only logical", said professor Sapintia, "do you know why I am here?". Lily thought about this and slowly answered that she thought she knew: "Because of the special school, professor?" "Yes, that is indeed the main reason, I reckon you have heard something about it from your brothers already". Lily noticed the subtile hint in the beginning of the last sentence of the professor and asked: "Professor, you said the school was the main reason, is there another reason that you came to visit me?" The professor looked a bit suprised, but then answered Lily: "yes, very sharp! I will try to answer your question" and she started telling what sounded like a story.
Some problems saving, the rest of my new written part will be uploaded later today.
