Heads or Tails
Chapter one
It was 9:21 when Louis woke up from his nights sleep. He dreaded getting ready for work. Louis went over to the sink and splashed his face with water to get himself awake. He turned the shower on and walked over to his closet to get his work clothes out. He strips out of his clothes and steps into the steaming shower. He begins humming the tune of Falling In by Lifehouse.
This has become a daily routine for Louis. Everyday he wakes up, gets ready for work, takes the subway to the music shop, works for 11 hours, gets back on the subway, stops to get coffee from the cafe, and walks the rest of the way home.
Noting exciting ever happens during his day. Louis doesn't have many friends. He's a very alone person. He just got out of high school and was bullied for being smaller than everyone else and having a high pitched voice. People called him 'faggot' and 'queer' even though he wasn't even openly gay. They were just being mean because Louis was the smartest in his class and was almost always the lead in the school plays. The mean kids were just jealous.
Louis put his earphones in as he left his apartment and began walking to the subways on this cold London friday morning. He's always very observant of the people around him. He imagined their life scenarios.
A short plump lady wearing a floor length floral dress with a long pearl necklace walked passed him.
'Her name is Susan and she was just dumped by who she thought was the love of her life. She used to be very thin. But now shes gained a lot of weight because shes eating off her depression.' Louis thought.
He walked down the stairs to the subway and swiped his card. He sat down in the corner across from a man with a dark brown hair and a large mustache. He was wearing a nice suit and was looking down at his cell phone.
'His name is Jerry and he's the CEO of a computerizing network. Makes millions of dollars and doesn't spend it on anything for himself.'
The subway ride is about 7 minutes so he listens to 2 songs before getting off and making his way up the stairs to the Modern Music Shop. He pauses the song and takes out his earphones and shoves them into his pocket.
"Morning, Louis. How are you today?" his co-worker Avery asked. Avery was also just getting out of high school. She had long blonde hair, tan skin and perfect teeth. Louis always thought that she was beautiful.
"I'm doin' alright." Louis said while taking off his jacket and putting on his name tag.
Nobody had come into the store yet, so Louis just played on his phone. Avery never did anything at work. She just went to the back of the shop and made out with her boyfriend Liam. So Louis was basically the only person working there.
The bell on the front door rang and a costumer came in. It was a woman who looked to be about in her thirties.
"Can I do anything to help you, miss?" Louis stood up.
"Yes, Im looking for a CD for my son. He's turning 14 in a few days and I'm not sure what to get him. Do you have any recommendations?" The woman asked him.
"Oo! I know just what you should get!" Avery shouted from across the store. She walked to a CD rack and picked up a CD.
"My brother is 14 and he absolutely loves this CD." Avery said.
I just walked back to the cashier and sat down. Avery obviously has got this one.
About the 10 minutes later the door bell rang again and in walked a tall, green eyed boy with chestnut brown curly hair.
