Spring felt blankets cover his shoulders, he turned his head to see Goldie laying two red blankets over him.

“Get comfy, I'll be back now,” Goldie smiled, stroking his hair and leaving to the kitchen. Spring pulled the blankets around him and snuggled into the side of the sofa.

Spring took his time to inspect every aspect of the room, it was clean not to mention that it smelt lovely. The room without the lamp would be dim, Spring enjoyed the light radiating from it.

The boy glanced around, sadly, not finding much familiar. He listened to Goldie who was putting the kettle on, humming lightly.

Spring had noticed how different things were from Goldie's house to his as he remembered quite a bit from his family compared to other things.

For one, his house was quite clean but then again he had guessed everyone's house was; second, no family lived with him but that also made sense because he was a grown man; third, he had way more materialistic things which again, didn't come as quite a shock.

Spring had counted Goldie due to living alone, no stress, no screaming or crying, no worries...Just gorgeous bliss. Spring liked the heat on this house too, his room back with his family was cold and small, not to mention moldy.

Goldie scared Spring accidently by tapping his shoulder, “Here…”, Goldie offered out the cup whole Spring took it gratefully.

“Thanks..”, Spring started to lick the froff with the marshmallows on top, making Goldie give a short chuckle as he sat down beside him. Goldie brought out his phone and brought up a few photos.

“Spring,” Goldie called as Spring glanced up at him, “Look at these..”

Goldie handed the other his phone as he flicked through photos of the two. Spring seemed to recall a few things of the two but there was one photo that really made Spring think.

“Um...Goldie...I just realised who this is..”, Spring mumbled, showing him the picture.

“Oh, that time we took your brother to the fair! That was fun..”, Goldie laughed a bit as Spring cringed slightly.

He did remember that day, he didn't really enjoy it as much as the two did. He hated crowded places with a gargantuan amount of people, he didn't seem to get along in crowds. The main thing though was that the other two had fun.

“I hope he's okay…”, Spring mumbled, Goldie turned to him, taking his phone back.

“What do you mean….?”

“He's- Nevermind…”, Spring mumbled, thinking about how his brother was. He was turning 14 soon and it seemed to worry him he wasn't going to be there as much as he wanted him to.

Spring could remember things like this, the events would be as blunt as a street lamp in the middle of the dark. Despite the fact that Plush was the reason he had no childhood, he still loved him.

“Are you sure…? You seem worried..”, Goldie asked concerned, Spring sighed and sat up a bit.

“His birthday is coming soon...I don't think I'll be able to see him…”

“How come..?”

“I don't have any contact because my phone is gone and I don't know where I live…”, Spring frowned as Goldie thought. This was tough, the last time Goldie had seen Plush was when he was ten plus Spring was yet to tell him where he lived.

“Well, you must live around here, maybe you'll see him?”, Goldie suggested and Spring nodded slowly after, swirling the last drop of hot chocolate that he was obviously reluctant to drink, “Oh, I forgot, you don't drink the last bit of hot chocolate do you?”

Spring nodded, Goldie taking his cup and placing it on the side. Goldie grabbed himself a blanket and covered his body, “So, what happened in the hospital?”

“Hm...I woke up...They told me they ran tests, they asked me questions and I didn't like any of it…”, Spring sighed, playing with his nails.

“You don't deal well with people being around you...and you hate hospitals because you get paranoid… Right?”

“Mhm…”, Spring nodded, surprising he did know quite a lot about him, Goldie yawned and rubbed his eyes. His yawning reminded him about sleeping arrangements.

“Oh...and you can sleep in my bed...I'll sleep down here…”

“Are you sure? I don't mind sleeping on the sofa, really…”

“Nonsense, I want you to get the best rest you can,” Goldie smiled as Spring gave a little smile and hugged the blankets, “Now...Tomorrow I need to go out and get you clothes..”

“Should I sleep in what I have…?”, Spring asked, referring to his green hoodie and grey jeans. Goldie thought and shook his head.

“I could either lend you clothes or you could sleep nude..”, Goldie suggested, his cheeks turning a pink colour.

“I'll sleep nude if you don't mind, that's how I normally sleep…”

Goldie nodded and stretched his arms, Spring yawning as he did so, “Tired?”

“Mhm..”, Spring answered, rubbing his eyes with dark circles around them.

“Ill help you upstairs,” Goldie confirmed, grabbing his crutches and passing them to him, shortly after he lead him to the stairs. Goldie kept a hand behind his back to support him as he limped up the stairs. Goldie then went in front of him and opened the door for him.

Spring peeped inside the room, remembering a few things. Goldie brought up the yellow and black blankets for him, “Shout if you need anything, okay?”

Spring nodded and Goldie smiled, “night”. With that, Goldie had gone. Spring slipped off his jeans to reveal scarred and red legs, Spring winced at the pain. Spring also slipped off his green hoodie and black vest.

Spring brought a hand over the large scar on his chest, near the right. Spring bit his lip and lifted his weak legs onto the bed, sniffing his surroundings as he did so. The scent was familiar and made Spring think, nothing came up but it was something, something important.

Spring shrugged it off and left it, laying his head down peacefully and closing his eyes tightly.
