My right arm contained two pink Gucci bags, filled with make-up and hair accessories. In my left, were three bags of shoes (mainly high heels).
There was still ten more bags filled with stuff I might have to use in the future while staying here. I guess you could say that I was fairly prepared to stay in a classy college such as this.
I heard panting behind me, farther down the broad hallway. Jenn's body was slumped as she carried a larger bag on her back. "What the hell is in this bag?"
"Rocks." I replied sarcastically and entered the large dorm room.
The room smelled of lavender or vanilla and the left side of the room was packed with boxes and old quilts.
The cardboard boxes made the dorm seem like a dusty old attic. Thank heavens this roommate had me. I can fix this place right up.
The right side held my empty bed and a window above it. The window was letting golden afternoon light spill in producing a spotlight for the floating dust particles.
I set the bags down on the white shaggy carpet and turned towards the door where Jenn dropped the large bag.
"Hey," I warned "be careful with the bag. I don't want a broken computer."
She glared at me and said irritatingly, "You put a computer in a bag?"
"I didn't want someone to steal it if they saw it so I just put it in with the other stuff."
I shrugged and started to walk down the hallway again to get my stuff from the car.
