Josh's POV-
"I...I dont know Brenden..." I said looking at the cute blonde boy standing in front of me. "Doesn't it sound a little dangerous?"
"Oh come on Josh!" Brenden said playfully punching my shoulder. "It'll be fun."
He gave me a smile. It wasn't a normal smile though. It was the kind of smile that could make your heart melt into a million little bits. It was the kind of smile that could give you butterflies in your tummy. Brenden was only an inch or two smaller than me but thats okay. He is still cute.
"All right I guess.." I finally gave in. "Let's grab the flashlights and let's go."
Watching him get all excited by jumping up and down and running to get the flashlights made me happy but it also made me very nervous. I never really snuck out this late at night before, let alone go to a park in the bad part of town in the middle of the night. But, if Brenden was with me I knew I was going to be safe.

"C'mon Josh!" Brenden said grabbing my hand. "We will get caught if you go this slow."
Whenever he touched my hand my heart would start racing. I don't know why but it just did. Every time I was around Brenden I always felt so safe. I feel like I am IN love with him. Not the kind of love you feel when you get pizza at school. No, a different kind of love. It is the kind of love you get when you get ice cream before dinner or something.
"Brenden's my best friend." I thought to myself. "I can't be falling in love with him...can I?"
"I'm sorry!" I whisper shouted trying to hold back my tears. "I am trying the best I can.."
Brenden stopped running and looked me dead in the eyes. My heart instantly stopped. I felt my tears starting to come out of my eyes. I tried to hide the fact I was crying by turning away from him but by then it was to late. He grabbed my shoulders then he wrapped his arms around me
"Josh.." He whispered sweetly. "Whats wrong?"
"I...I..." I stuttered crying. "I love you.."
