In the streets of New York City a lonely vampire walked alone, usually New York was a city filled with flashing lights, loud noises and somewhat rude people but on this night not a whisper could be heard. Tyler thought this was strange, but he still longed to walk the streets. It had been one year one full year ago that he was turned to a vampire, walking home on a cool crisp night such as this it you could already see it was fall the weather had gotten colder, the leaves had changed colors and was beginning to fall off the trees. Just as Tyler was walking home from school he was a stopped by a mysterious boy, the boy had long brown hair,a skinny fame body he wore glasses  didn't seem like the boy would hurt a fly.

Oh how Tyler was wrong, the boy had come up to him and looked at him with sad eyes, he had told Tyler a story; a story of how 55 years ago there was a battle between demon hunters and demons, a hard long fought battle that nearly wiped out humanity  but him and his demon hunter friends had won but at a cost, everyone he knew had died including the girl he loved in battle and that he had been alone for these years, causing him to turn a dark place, a place where he had beaten, stolen, killed, many people and things during his time, he had even attacked a girl who looked like the one he loved and lost. They had been dating he claimed for a few months but something happen he snapped, he then stared to torment and harass her for months on end, he had physically attacked her multiple times and leaving scars on her soon after that he never saw her again, "her name was Catherine" he had spoken softly and sadly. The boy then went on to say that  to say that he was a vampire and that his name was Simon.

Tyler looked at the boy 'Simon or whatever the boy's name was is crazy" Tyler thought.  Vampires don't exist and even if they do he doesn't look anything like a vampire not only that but this story made no damn bit of sense" he thought to himself. Before Tyler even had a chance to react, the boy pinned him down hard on ground. Trying to compel his thoughts the boy had said something to him, 'there's is another war coming i can sense it and this war will be much bigger with far more blood' he said. 'I need to be prepared and ready for this i need an army a huge army to face this threat to the world' he spoke calmly and was sure that this "war" has happening. Tyler wanted to say something, anything, call for help or something, he tried getting this boy off of him but he was far too strong. before he could do anything the boy had spoke once more, "you shall be the first to join me to help me with my plan to end war and to get rid of this fucking demons once and for all, you shall be a vampire, once among the living dead" he said. "you have all the of the powers of being a vampire and no we do not and cant not turn into bats" he said with a smug look on face. Tyler frowned the thought of becoming a bat would be cool he thought.

The boy continued on "when the time is ready i will come for you and you join my army and don't think i wont look for you, as you may have known vampires have super strength, speed,  your sense of smelling and sight will increase 10 times more than a humans and you also be able to walk in daylight a gift you may consider it, it is one of my special powers for i am what they called a day lighter" he spoke. "Are you ready" he said, all Tyler could do just nod not knowing what will happen, he then saw the one shining proof the this boy may be telling the truth about all this, Tyler had saw his fangs. Sharp long point needle thin teeth that where white as the moon it self. Tyler closed his eyes and then soon passed out. Now having  two small bite marks on his neck and now half dead, Tyler thought it was hopeless luckily he could still have some of his old life since he was a daylighter as Simon called it being able walk in sunlight so he could go to school or just hang out he live a normal life and forget everything that the boy had told him but now he felt those thoughts were fading fast.

He had been walking fast he often forgot he had vampire speed. Tyler had reached the front door to his house. His thoughts drifted away from the gruesome images of the past few hours until they once again rested on his mother. It had been months since he'd seen her. Tyler remembered the look on his mother's face the day he'd come home and told her that he was bitten and was now a vampire. He remembered the way her eyes had grown shocked, she had first assume he was crazy and that he had been taking drugs or perhaps drunk. She just couldn't be-live that Tyler was a vampire surly this had been a joke or something, Tyler wished it was a joke or a dream but it wasn't. He had asked his mom to take his pulse to see if he was really alive and when she felt  no pulse her face and eyes went from mere confusion to wide eyed and shocked to now just fright and pure disgust and hate at the mere sight of him. The way how she'd told him that he wasn't her son any longer that he was a monster and never return was enough to make him cry which he did but not tears of water tears of blood had fallen. Not only that but she banished him from his own house, the house he had known and lived since he was born. The words she said, those words had cut right through him, so he'd done the only compassionate thing he could think of; projecting false images into his own mother's mind. He hated himself for it. What if the magic he'd worked on her mind had gone wrong?

What if he'd done some sort of permanent damage? His hand hesitated just a few inches from the brass doorknob that decorated the tall, wooden door to his childhood home. From inside the house, Tyler could hear the faint humming of the microwave and the weatherman from channel 6 reciting tomorrow's dreary forecast of rain. Then there were footsteps; feather-light, almost gliding across the floor as if they were barely touching the tile in the kitchen. There was a popping noise, followed by the slam of the microwave door, and finally a sigh. His Mother's sigh. Tyler knew that his mother hated microwave meals. She said they were unhealthy, and almost always tasted of cardboard. So what was she doing cooking one now? Tyler sucked in a deep breath, just concentrating on the scents that filtered through a small crack at the base of the door pasta. The smell didn't really sit well with his nerves. It made his stomach turn and twist painfully, but he wasn't sure of it. He'd messed with her brain. What kind of son does something like that? A monster just like what she had to him before banished him, he thought.
