The day had started out like any other day it was fall so weather was cool and crisp, the leaves were already changing colors and falling off the trees. I yawned and stretched for a few then proceeded to the bathroom to brush my teeth. After splashing water on my face for a few seconds, I took a moment to observe myself.
My grey cunning pierce eyes with a glare so sharp it could cut through steel. I had a tall frame standing at 6 foot one, I was taller than Blake by a few inches he wasn’t pleased by that saying that I should stop drinking so much milk, I was quite happy with my height I hated short skinny girls who think there all that anyways.
My tall fame is only complimented by my long, wavy black hair I had always thought of cutting it but I decided against it. Being a warlock meant I was different, sure I could cast spells and junk but I soon learned I had other abilities, I had dramatically increased physical strength, as well as endurance, agility, accelerated healing, intuition, and a limited degree of healing powers as well.
Blake wasn’t thrilled on me being a vampire hunter, in fact he was forbidding me from even thinking about it, I had to have numerous talks with him to convince him to let me to do this, after a few months of begging and pleading he finally said yes. I could tell he was too happy about this whole vampire killing thing but he still supported me in any way how.
He had given me books on vampires which I researched and read on the supernatural creatures offering insights into their origins and advice on how to kill them.
He also gave me a bracelet that glows blue whenever a vampire was near, he said for only for hunting purposes but I always thought otherwise seeing on I had a crush on him.
I looked at the clocked, 3:30pm; Blake should be getting in soon I thought. Blake was not only a wise member of the Watchers' Council and a powerful warlock, he also teaches at a 7th grade school, he’s the highest paying teacher there so he makes enough to pay for the bills, still wrapped in my thoughts the door had opened and in came Blake from work.
“Hi honey I’m home” Blake said with a tired smile.
“You are cheesy” I said rolling my eyes
“I know” he said putting his suitcase down on the table besides the bed
“So how was work?” I asked him looking at him with concern I went up to him
”well I like teaching but those 7th graders are a pain in the ass” he said yawning
I looked at him for a minute; Blake was 5 foot 11 had long brownish hair and green cat eyes due him being a warlock; he has a nice lean tan body, not too bulky, not too skinny he also a lot of glitter in his hair, nails, and clothing. He often shopped at designer wear stores so his clothes were always hot on the market. I often wonder if he liked me the same way I liked him.
“So how’s the vampire hunting?” He said breaking the moment of silence we had.
“Well I haven’t ran into any today so far but i might go hunting later” I said rather quickly not looking at him when I said it
Ohh was all he said not completely looking at me ether, “so I take it that vampire cycle you stole from those three vampires is still on the roof huh?” “Yeah still there though, it’s getting dark want to take it for a ride see what’s up in the city?” I asked hoping he would say yes.
“I would he said but I’m too damn tired plus I have to get up in a few hours to teach night classes”
I would have gave it more thought and kept asking him to go with me but I gave up I looked at the clock it said 6:45 on it hmm well I could go hunting now I thought. After a few minutes of silence I quickly said “ohh well okay I’m going for a few toss me my blade David over here by counter” Blake got my sword asked “have you got your guns too” I nodded my head “you mean Emily and Rose, yeah got them in my gun case” I said. He rolled his eyes at me “you just be careful at there okay?”
I smiled at him and said “don’t worry I’ll be fine” and left. Since it was dark now that means I could ride my vampire cycle, they run on demon blood only at night. So I rode out going wearing the wind takes me, I switched gears and soon the cycle was in mid air flying.
I was enjoying the strong breeze, the wind flowing through my hair but suddenly my bracelet started to glow, “vampires” I muttered my voice getting deeper, dripping with acid and venom at the mere thought of encountering one, I didn’t who this vampire was but they was about to be in a rude awakening.
