Jamie's P.O.V.

I pulled into the employee's parking lot of the United Center, as I put my car in park and turned off the engine I took a deep breath and exhaled softly. All of my hard work is finally paying off, I'm finally able to intern with a professional sports team.

I know, I know; it sounds totally cliché, I get it. But, this is something that I've always wanted to do. I've always had a knack for helping people, making them feel better, making sure they're alright. Working in sports was never really my intensions but, my dad being a huge sports fan really made an impact on my life, I grew up watching hockey with my old man because my parents aimed for a boy but ended up with me and my sister, Isabelle.

Since I was twelve years old I was obsessed with hockey, Chicago is the number one city for hockey.

I stepped out of my white twenty-fourteen Jeep Wrangler with my gym bag tight in my grip and made my way through the doors. When I walked in it was a pretty quiet hallway, I made my way down the long corridor in search of Mike Gapski's office. Soon enough I found it, I knocked gently and sighed.

"Come in." I heard a muffled voice speak from behind the door.

"Hello." I walked in with a smile.

"Jamie, right?" The man got up from behind his desk and shook my hand.

"That's me."

"I'm Mike Gapski, head athletic trainer here for the Hawks. Why don't you have a seat and fill out some paper work."

"Sure."

Silence filled the room as Mike sat behind his desk, I sat across from him and examined the room. The wall behind him had a few pictures of the team, friends and family I assumed.

"So what made you want to intern for the team?" Mike asked as he got up from his desk once again to retrieve some papers from the printer.

"Umm, I just really want to help people stay in shape, stay healthy. This is a great organization and I think it'll help me get to where I want to be in the future."

"Good answer," he chuckled softly. "Can you sign these and we can get going."

I quickly read through the papers, it was just your basic paperwork that you'd receive anywhere. I signed the papers and handed them back to Mike.

"Good, ready for a tour and to meet the team?"

"Is it bad that I'm a little nervous?" I say fiddling with my fingers.

"Not at all, follow me."

I got up and followed Mike out of the room, we passed a few doors and stopped at one.

"Here's the woman's locker room, it isn't as big as the guys' locker room but I'm sure it's good enough for you."

I took a step into the spacious room that had lockers and showers, I gave Mike a small smile with a shrug.
