Dear Diary,

A fantastic idea popped into my head today while on the bus. I was heading towards the military base outside of the city for a tour, and I was thinking about the future of military combat. Would men still fight on the battlefield? Or would heavily armoured robots be the way forward? I always had an interest in robots myself, and developing one has been my dream for all 23 years of my life. I pulled out a pencil and a bit of paper and started doodling on the small desk clipped onto the chair in front of me.

I have started work on what I hope will be the future of military combat. I will call the robot 'M.O.M.', or Military Operated Machine, but it won't be an easy task creating him. He needs to be strong, agile, and be able to withstand different terrains and heavy impact.

I have perfected my design for M.O.M. that I spent the guts of two years working on, and I am beginning development. I don't know how long it will take to create him and make him up to the standard I wish for, but I can only imagine it would be at least five years.

My initial estimate of five years is not going to come true anyways. I can't see me being finished within five years of today, never mind back then. Since beginning on the project, I have barely moved outside my door, barely slept, I have pretty much no friends left and my parents died in a plane crash. M.O.M. is pretty much my last chance in life now...

The New Year's Party was awesome! I met up with all the lads and we went into the bedroom and smoked weed, drank shots, sniffed coke, THE LOT! I met them a couple of months ago, and they introduced me to drugs and shit, and now I am not depressed anymore!

30th April, 2007

After getting high earlier, a brand new idea came to me: fuck the military, what if I just made M.O.M. a killing machine! I could call it S.A.M., for Sadistic Artificial Monster! Yeah! This is gonna be great!
