There upon the rocks in the woods sat the boy, his shaggy, black hair fell over his exposed shoulder blades as the wind blew the smells of the birch tree's and flowers to his nostrils. He turned startled by the sound of his older sister's approach.
"Dear Lord, Reybekka! You never sneak up on a man in the woods!" He exclaimed, putting away his hunting knife.
"Nathanial Theo Alexandre, you've barely hit puberty yet." His sister laughed, her red hair blowing in the wind.
"You know Rey, you can be a bit of a bitch." Nathanial smirked, sitting back down.
"Why are you hiding out here?" Reybekka asked as she tucked her skirt and sat beside her brother.
"It's peaceful out here." He said, closing his eyes and taking in the scents of the forest. "I don't know, I felt drawn out here."
"The sunset is nice I guess." Reybekka said as she turned her daylight ring on her finger. "I don't normally come out to see it."
"I know, it must suck to be a vampire." He smirked again, chuckling slightly.
"Asshole!" Reybekka laughed and shoved her brother into the stream.
The boy laughed as he stood, before freezing where he stood as his blood burned like fire inside of him. He fell to his knees and screamed as his bones turned to ash before slowly reforming much larger, flame shot from his skin, as smoke billowed where the hair should be. As his body reformed, his scream became a wicked howl, and he rose to all fours. His vision was perfect, and his mouth burned, hungry for blood.
"Nathanial?!" Reybekka gasped as she stood frightened.
It took most of his strength to keep from attacking her, pushing off from the ground and running off into the woods. The wolf of flame had breached the surface of his body, the Alexandre curse claiming another child.
