Reader POV
"You total will be $30," I said looking at the screen while talking to the customer. "Here," said a gruff voice and walked away.
I sighed, looking at the empty line.
If you guessed grocery store, you guessed right. A white fur, green eyed fox. With a pay of $15 an hour, I worked at PawMart, at the cashier, with little to no pay.
"Hello, Earth to (y/n)," stated another customer, while reading my name tag.
His fur was dark red, slick and smooth down his back.
A slight smirk staring at me curiously.
A green Hawaiian shirt, wrinkled slightly.
"Uh hello?" he continued,annoyed.
"Oh! Sorry," I said, quickly scanning his items.
He chuckled to himself, staring at me amused.
"Are you checking me out?" he said his smirk growing.
"NO! Omg! No," I said totally embarrassed. My white fur turned a tinted red.
"Hm, sure (y/n)" he said, although he sounded totally unconvinced.
"(Y/n)! Are you slacking!" Yelled my boss, Mr. Marte. "N-no sir," I said, putting the groceries into bags.
"Your total is $10," I mumbled intimated by my boss.
"Thanks!" he said happily.
But before walking away, he sneaked a paper on my desk.
I picked it up and read it: Call me: 954-585-5197 ;)
I blushed, shoving the note into my jeans. I continued work, but couldn't help but think about the attractive fox I just met.
-----------------------------------------
I opened the door to my small apartment, throwing my keys in glass bowl. I ripped off my clothes, and took a shower, washing the gunk and germs from the grocery store away. After getting dressed in  a tank and shorts, I hopped in my bed.
I pulled out my phone and saw a notification.
954-585-5197: Hey it's Nick.
I immediately remembered the number and texted back.
Me: Hi Nick! How are you

Nick: Pretty good and you

Me: I'm great. Definition of Great: Small house, little money, and a terrible job. Yup, I'm great!

Nick: Aw. It's ok. Know what? I'll treat you to some lunch tomorrow? Sound good?

Me: Sure. Cya tomorrow!

Nick: Bye!
I quickly shut off my phone and laid on my bed.
Maybe tomorrow won't actually be a bad day, I thought to myself happily.
Key word: Thought
