Riku Soma X Sad!Reader (Love)

Riku's POV.

Today was finally Friday and it was almost Christmas break! Everyone was almost as excited as was I! The only person I knew that wasn't happy about Christmas was (Y/n). She was second year at the school but unlike me I was a third year. She was in the same class with my friend Ryusei. Her and I were friends but I kinda started to like her, I feel like she wont feel the same way.

Anyways I got to school and all of a sudden it started to snow. I went into the school and went to my locker and changed into the school's shoes. When I finished I walked to the courtyard and saw that no one was there yet expect for Taro who sits on the fountain by himself. I looked at one of the cherry blossom trees that were filled with snow and saw someone leaning against it.

I looked closely and saw someone very familiar, "(Y/n)?" She looked up at me and gave me a small smile. "Hey Riku-kun What brings you here?" "I just wanted to say Hi to you and what are you doing out here anyways? You can get sick without a jacket!" I lectured her as she looked at the ground as if she was ashamed of something. "Sorry, I didn't mean to make you worried" She got up and was about to walk away but I grabbed her arm.

"Wait! I have an extra jacket in my locker.. I-I can get it if you want" I stuttered on last part of my sentence. She gave me a small smile but it looked...forced. "nah, it's fine i'll just stay inside," She walked away, my hand getting cold by the second. "I'll see you later..i guess" she muttered as i saw her body disappear. I sighed and ran a hand through my purple hair. 'she always seems so sad' I thought. 'I wonder why' My thoughts were interrupted when someone placed their hand on my shoulder.

"Hello Ayano-chan" I greeted her with a smile, Ayano still had a blank face before speaking. "Follow me, I need to show you something important" I didn't like where this was going but i nodded in return, "Okay, lead the way" We both then started to walk into the locker room but then we went up the stair. I immediately started to get confused, we then walked all the way until we reached the end of the hall.

"Ayano-chan why did you-" I didn't see her anymore, she was gone. I was about to walk away but i heard a sniffle from one of the storage closet. This defiantly got my attention, I opened the door quiet as possible and what i saw with my eyes, i felt my heart shatter.

It was (y/n) crying in the corner her (h/c) hair was sprawled in every direction. I couldn't stand to see this anymore, I opened the door making her squeak in fear and I saw her (e/c) eyes were red and puffy. "R-Riku-Kun? W-What are y-you doing here?" She started to freak out, she quickly wiped her eyes making sure that i didn't see the tears, but I did. 

I got on her level which was on my knees and then I quickly pulled her into a hug and her body stiffened. She started to shake and then she started to cry once more. I then placed my hand on her back and started to pet her for comfort. "Shh Shh Shh, it's okay It's okay" I whispered into her ear, she then put her arms around my torso and started to hug me, (Y/n) buried her face and continued to cry.

"It's going to be okay, I'm going to stay by your side forever I promise" She looked up and me with her teary (e/c) eyes that were still puffy and red. "Yo-Your lying" She muttered, tears started to form again. "Your going t-to leave me! L-Like Ev-Everyone else!" (Y/n) yelled at me while continuing to sob loudly. I raised my eyebrow in confusion, i didn't understand what she was talking about. 

"(Y/n), what are you talking about?" She froze, "I never left you, and I never will" I grabbed her face and looked at her in her eyes. "I promise" She stopped crying and grabbed my hands from her face, My heart was beating so fast since i was so close to her. "You always wanted to know why I hate Christmas. Do you really want to know?" I nodded my head but I put my arms around her waist.

 "It was around when I was 10 years old, so on Christmas Eve my parents say they were going out to get my present since it was ordered and they had to go get it. The time was around 7:30PM I was happy and sad at the same time. I was happy because I got to spend time with my family, but i was sad because they were living me home alone.  Time then flew by and it was past midnight, meaning that it was Christmas. I started to get scared and my instinct was to turn on the news, and I felt that was the worst decision of my life. It showed a car crash scene and it showed my parents names dead.. And I remember, nobody came to tell me that my parents had died in person, and from that day forward I hated Christmas day since it was the day of my parents death"

(Y/n) was sobbing now while I continued to hold her in my arms, that must be why she hates it so much. "Why didn't you tell me?" I asked her confused, did she not trust me? "I thought...You would just laugh at me, and never want to talk to me ever again" My eyes widened, did she really think that of me. 

"(y/n), I promise with the rest of my life, I would never leave you. I would always be by your side. I don't care if you wake me up in the middle night just to say hi. I care for your safety, i love you" My eyes widened as I just realized on what I just said. 'Shit! I didn't mean to say that!' I quickly started to sweat and panic. 

"h-heh H-Hey I d-didn't mean t-that last pa-" I felt lips connected with mine as my face began to turn 50 shades of red. I kissed back and closed my eyes and gripped her waist as she put her arms around my neck. (Y/n) pushed her tongue across my lip making me very surprised, We soon released from the lack of oxygen. 

Both our faces are both red and we were both panting. "I love you too" She whispered and smiled at me, I had a huge grin on my face. I got up and helped her up as well and then I quickly pulled her into a hug. The door then opened and there stood Ayano with her phone in her hand. "otp" she muttered before taking a picture and walking away.

I looked at (y/n) and gave her a goofy smile which she smiled in return. "We should get to class" I stated cause i don't want to get in trouble for being late. "Heh, Your such a teacher's pet" She chuckled making me pout, "Yeah, well i'm not any teachers pet.. I'm YOUR pet" She blushed but quickly giggled it off. "Anyways lets get to class" We both split paths as I had a smile on my face. I entered my classroom and sat down in my seat, and listened to my teacher for the whole class.

TIMESKIP TO LUNCH

The bell for lunch rung and i was the first person to get out of the classroom. I quickly ran down the stairs and saw (y/n)'s classroom in sight. She was the first one to get out of the classroom and saw me, we both ran and hugged each other like it was the end of the world.

 "I missed you" She muttered into my chest. "I missed you too" I replied back, I placed my chin on top of her head as everyone looked t us with shock. "Come on I have some food that I made" (Y/n) grabbed my hand and started to walk down the stairs and then to her locker. 

"Hey look it's still snowing!" I pointed outside, the snow falling down like it was heaven. I went to my locker and pulled out and extra jacket I was talking about earlier. I walked back to where her locker was at but not only did i see her there, I saw her right by the doors looking at the snow falling.

"It's beautiful isn't it?" She asked me with her magnificent (e/c) orbs that were filled with happiness and hope. "Yeah it is" We both sat in silent until i got out the extra jacket. "I got you this, figured you might be cold" I scratched my the back of my head. "Oh, thanks Riku-kun" She grabbed the jacket that was once in my hands, and is now on her. It was pretty big on so the sleeves didn't reach to her arms which I found cute.

"Riku-kun" I snapped out of my trance, "yes?" "Will you...Be my Christmas present?" She looked at me with puppy-dog eyes and I couldn't say no to that face. "Yes I will"
