"Attention passengers, we have now landed in Chicago. Thank you flying with us. You may now begin exiting the plane." The same voice Stella had fallen asleep to, was now waking her up. She grabbed her carry-on from the storage unit, and stepped I that he aisle of the plane, exiting behind the strand of others in front of her.
Once off the plane, she made her way to the baggage claim, for her suitcases. Stella waited along side other people, who were most likely on her flight, as the bags began coming down the belt. As soon as she saw hers, she grabbed them, and made her way to the lobby, where she saw groups of people reuniting with their families, and friends, these were the kind of scenes that made Stella miss her own family and friends every time she was away. She saw a few couples, and felt a pang of hurt in her chest, as the thought of her Zack Meyers came to her mind, she shook it off, and began searching for her father in the crowd of people.
After a few minutes of searching, Stella's phone buzzed with a text message from her father;
From: Dad
Got wrapped up in something. One of my detectives is out front waiting for you. Black car, jeans, grey t-shirt.

Stella nodded, and made her way outside, and looked around spotting a black car and in front of it, stood a woman, whom Stella had known for years, since she was eleven years old.
"Erin! Is that you?" Stella exclaimed, running up to the woman, her bags rolling behind her.
"What's up shorty?" Erin said, opening her arms to the blonde.
"Oh my god, pardon my next sentence, but, damn, you look hot." Stella said, the two women laughed.
"Thanks, you're looking pretty fine yourself there, Stel." Erin replied.
"Thanks, so, shall we? Don't tell but, I've kinda been missing Dad, since he left last summer." Stella said, Erin latter her shoulder, and opened the car door for her.
"You're chariot awaits. To the 21st district we go." She said, Stella climbed into the passenger seat, and shut he door, as Erin say in the drivers seat, and started the car.
The two women began catching up, as they drove to the 21st District.
"Voight told me you're gonna be joining Intelligence?" Erin asked.
"Yeah, they kinda fired me and kicked me  out of the district in LA, so, I really didn't want to stay there."
"Kicked you out? You'll have to explain later. I was JT ask win because I'm kinda surprised Voight is letting his little girl into the most dangerous unit in Chicago. I was surprised when he even let you go to LA."
"Honestly, me too. But, he's just being protective, he's my dad, it's his job." Stella shrugged, just as they pulled up to the 21st.
"Shall we?" Erin said.
"We shall." Stella replied, following Erin into the building.
"Just up this way." Erin said, leading Stella up a staircase, into a fence-like door, and up a second staircase before finally making up to the office.
"Hey, where's Voight?" Erin asked a rather handsome man with blue eyes and sandy brown hair. The man nodded his head towards a door, which Stella figured was her father's office.
"I think he's in there with the high commander." The same man said, Erin nodded.
"Well, until he's done, why don't I introduce you to everyone?" Erin asked.
"Sure, fine with me." Stella said, a semi-smile on her face.
"Alright so everyone this is Stella, Voight's daughter. Stella this is the crew, Jay Halstead, Antonio Dawson, Adam Ruzek, Alvin Olinsky, and Kevin Atwater." Erin said, pointing to each person, as another man entered the room.
"I got a lead off of your guy." Said another man, entering the room.
"And that's Mouse. He's our tech guy. Close friend of mine from the Military, the man, Halstead, added.
"Mouse, this is Stella. Voight's daughter." Halstead said, motioning to the blonde.
"Well it's nice to meet you all. But, I don't wanna intrude on your work, so go ahead. I'll stick around here and wait for my dad." Stella said, another semi-smile on her face.
"Alright, if you say so. Welcome by the way." Ruzek said, sending her a smile, she returned it in thanks.
"You can sit at my desk until he's done. Mouse'll keep you company." Erin said, Stella nodded, and sat at her desk, watching the door, as the other detectives geared up and left.
There was a long silence, after everyone left, you could barely hear the muffled voices of Stella's father and his higher up, discussing in the office, before Mouse spoke up.
"So, Voight said you were in LA? Why leave he city of Angels, for the Windy City?" He asked, leaning to one side, and gazing at Stella.
"You want the simple version, or the complicated version?" Stella replied, cocking her head to one side slightly.
"Either, or. We got time, who knows how long they'll be in there for." He said, motioning to the office, Stella follows his motion, then turned back to him.
"Well, I'll give you a taste of both, simple and complicated. Let's start with the complicated. My partner and I," Stella cringed at the thought of Meyers again, but pushed it to the back of her mind.
"My partner and I busted this big Mexican dealer, names Rojas, and while we, or rather I, was questioning him, he started going off about how women couldn't do anything and all this other bullshit, so, I laid some fists into him a few times. Long story short, my boss found out, kicked me out of his unit, and the superintendent kicked me out of the district, I snapped about the way the district treated all the women. So here I am." She explained, Mouse's eyebrows raised in shock,
"You? You laid some fists into a dealer? And stood up to a higher up?" He asked, a half-smile tugging at his lips.
"Yep, to Saint simply." She replied.
"Damn, you're definitely your father's, daughter. You're like a mini-Voight." Mouse said.
"That she is, and I couldn't be more proud of her." Came a gravelly voice from behind Stella.
A smile grew on her face, and she turned to face her father.
"Dad!" She exclaimed, practically jumping out of the seat, and wrapping her arms around him, he hugged her back m, his arms tightly around her mid-section, as hers were around his neck. Stella couldn't even begin to explain the joy she felt hugging her father again, feeling his embrace again after being away for a year and a half.
"I missed you, dad." Stella said into his shoulder, which head rested on.
"I missed you too, sweetheart." He replied, before the pair finally pulled apart.
"Commander Fischer, this is Stella. Stella, this is the head of the district." Voight said, into ridiculing the two.
"Nice to meet you commander. Thank you for agreeing to let me join the district." Stella said, offering her hand, the taller man took it and gave a nod.
"Based on what your father has told me, I think you'll be a great addition to the district, and to this unit." Commander Fischer said.
"Thank you, sir. I plan on it." She replied, releasing the mans hand.
"Mouse, where is everyone?" Voight asked.
"I got a lead on our guy. They left a few minutes ago." Mouse replied, looking up from his computer, as commander Fischer left he room.
"Alright, text me the address. Stella," Voight said, pulling something out of his pocket.
"You're gonna ride with me for this one. Here. Welcome to Intelligence." Her father finished, handing her a badge. She clipped it to her jeans, and followed her father, as he made his way down the stairs, giving Mouse a nod on the way.
The two Voight's, climbed into a black, matte SUV, and we're off to their lead.
"We gotta figure out what to call you, since we have the same last name." Stella's father said, as they drove.
"Yeah, I put some thought into that. I could use mom's maiden name, if that works." Stella replied, her father nodded,
"Works for me. As of now, you're Detective Stella Kennedy. Memorize your badge number, if you're ever caught up on something without backup, you call it in using it." Stella looked down at her badge, and read the numbers out loud,
"Badge number 06714. Got it." She nodded, just as they pulled up to the house where the other detectives were standing on guard. The two Voight's climbed out of the SUV and met up with Detective Dawson, whom explained to them what was going on.
"Our guy has been seen going in and out of here for a while now. Neighbors say he always has a crew with him. Halstead and Lindsay are around back keeping watch. Olinsky and Ruzek are around the side." Dawson said, Voight handed Stella a gun, which she locked and loaded immediately.
"Alright, Stella go with Antonio around the other side, I'll cover you. Go." Voight said, Stella nodded, and followed Antonio around the opposite side of Ruzek and Olinsky.
Within seconds of the two moving to the other side, a man in a black hoodie popped his arm out one of the windows and fired a gun.
"Gun!" Antonio shouted, signaling to the others to move in on the target. That's when the man pointed the gun towards Antonio and pulled the trigger,
"Dawson! Get down!" She shouted, shoving him to the ground, along with herself, the bullet just barely skimming over their heads.
"We got him!" Halstead shouted from the back. Stella slowly stood up, brushing herself off, and fixing her blonde locks, tucking loose pieces behind her ears. She offered a hand to help Antonio up, which he graciously took, before he pair made their way back to Voight and the others.
"You two alright?" Voight asked, Stella nodded.
"I wouldn't be if it wasn't for her." Antonio said, motioning to Stella, Voight gave a questioning look,
"Voight, your little girl, here, just saved me from a bullet." He explained, Voight gave a proud nod.
"Thanks, Stella." Antonio said, Stella nodded.
"And by the way, welcome to Intelligence." He added, before making his way over to the others.
"I think they like you, kid. You got Antonio's approval, Jay's, obviously Erin's. You're fitting in perfectly. " Voight said.
"That's a relief. Let's just see how much they like me when I get into that interrogation room." Stella replied. Obviously she was very much like her father in the sense of interrogation, not afraid to forget about the filter between her brain and her mouth, not afraid to get her hands dirty if needed.
"Let's go check this guy out."
Voight said, he and his daughter made their way to the rest of the group.
"Who's our guy?" Voight asked, taking the man from Halstead's grip, as pulled his hood down.
" Ricardo Rojas. Family in the drug industry." Antonio said, Stella's eyebrows raised, she was intrigued.
"May I?" Stella asked, looking from Antonio to the man, and putting a hand out.
"Be my guest." Antonio said, Voight nodded in agreement, as Stella took the man by the collar.
"Rojas, huh?" The man, squirmed slightly, but Stella kept her grip.
"I'm sure your big brother told you about me, right? The lady cop that arrested and interrogated him?" The man's eyes widened slightly.
"Voight." He said, in a breath.
"Maybe in LA. Now it's Kennedy. Now you can tell your brother that you met me too." She sneered, turning him and shoving him back to Halstead.
"Take him in. Let's head back." Voight said, Halstead nodded, and shoved him into the car.
"Erin, mind if I ride with your partner? I wanna make sure the little Rojas knows we mean business." Stella asked.
"Go right ahead. I'll ride with Voight." Erin said, a proud look on her face, as well as Voight's.
"Alright, let's roll." Voight said, and with that the team headed back to the district.
