I warn you that the following might shock, or even horrify you. Read, but be warned that they are always out there…waiting. Read at your own risk, but be warned that if they find you, I cannot be held responsible. I share my story as to warn you, but then what is the purpose of doing that when it is already too late.

   Signed,

  Slider

I jumped on the board and rode my way through the alley. 3 seconds. I cut my way around a corner and dove behind a dumpster. 2 seconds. I concentrated at the figure in front of me and aimed. 1 second. All I saw was white. Who am I? I am Slider.

You might think, “Hey, this is just another lame story about a kid saving the day and getting the girl in the end like all the other lame super heroes.” But that can’t happen for me…

You probably think you can guess how I became a hero; radioactive animal, toxic waste, experiment gone wrong. If you thought that, you are darn wrong. Don’t judge me; I’m not a mutant, or one of those things you read in the comic books with colored costumes and tights. I’m the real deal. And this is my story…

I was outside, on MY PLANET. No, this is not a planet full of beings like me, but my own planet. I say that as, POPULATION: 1. Just me, nothing else.

Living was nothing compared to your life. I simply, lived. I was not living the good life, but not the bad one either. I got up and practiced my powers outside every day, 14 hours each. But you don’t want to hear that; you want to hear what my powers are.

To start you off, I couldn’t fly. I knew you were expecting it though. I flew in my own way, by on a circular board, 4 feet in diameter. Black, with red outlining was the design, nothing more.

Next, I have telekinesis. For you people out there who are about to get a dictionary, that means I can move things with my mind.  That is, anything that I can will myself to do.

I can also read someone’s or something’s mind. I know there darkest secrets and everything about them. This also comes with control of their mind, or willing them to do what I want.

By now you must be thinking. “Whoa, this dude must have a weakness.” If you were thinking this, you’re right. But that doesn’t mean I’m telling you what it is.

One more power that’s kind of important for you to know. I can control my age. That means that I can morph my appearance to whatever age I want. If fact, I can morph my body into any appearance I want.

If you’re thinking, “Man, this guy can live forever…” then you’re wrong.  Once I turn 120, I’m pretty much out of powers and out of time.

“How does he know this?” you ask. Well that’s my business.

I practice like this for years, until I mastered my powers. Then, I began begun searching for a new home. I landed on a planet with obvious movements of life. No, it wasn’t your planet earth. You think just because a planet has life, then it must be yours, and then you think that every alien has to land on earth and come to save or destroy it. Well you’re wrong.

I landed on the one next to yours. To you known as Mars, but to me known as Rust Bucket.

The life I saw was your rovers and other alien technology. I stayed in a cave away from them, for a few Martian days, until your rovers got to close for me to be comfortable.

I next landed on your planet. Not in New York City, or Chicago, or San Francisco, but I landed in a smaller city. Yes, it was in the United States, I will give you that. If you know my location then you would find me. This is where my story begins.
